Seriously? NBC is an awful organization. First you butcher Chuck's budget (which caused the show to drop off dramatically in quality), now you are on the course of cancelling Community.

The American's who have those Nielson Rating machines are monkeys.

What a stupid move to make. Did the executives not see last week's episode? It was incredible. It's like Arrested Development all over again.

They don't care about quality at NBC. Dancing with the Stars which is about the worst show ever created, rakes in the ratings and thus rakes in the money. Community gets terrible ratings so they don't get the money that they'd want because they can't charge as much for advertising.

It isn't just NBC, Fox cancelled Firefly after like 9 episodes and didn't even air them in the right order, yet that show is one of the highest regarded shows made.

Fox screwed up Arrested Development, Family Guy, and Firefly.

NBC has screwed up Conan and now Community. They're working hard to be just as bad as Fox.

Community is too good to disappear. If NBC doesn't committ, I can see another network picking it up. Arrested Development was considered by other networks.

Never fear Community fans, at least Donald Glover (Troy) can make a living as a rapper! His album under the pseudonym Childish Gambino came out today. It's called Camp, and it's pretty good!

A lot of shows just aren't made for people who want to invest in them, I'm not saying people who watch different shows are better than others, but like Arrested Development you need to pay attention when you are watching community

shows like 2.5 men and even the Big Bang Theory aren't like that

Agreed, did the author of that article just cut and paste the one he used for Arrested Development years ago? His third point wasn't even a valid reason, just an excuse to make fun of fans of the show.

Unfortunately 30 minute comedies that require a viewer to actually get invested and watch in a somewhat sequential order always face these challenges. Rare are the ones like Modern Family that have a formula that can minimize that effect, while still having awesome callbacks for fans of the show (the stairs in the Dunphy house for example).

This feels like arrested development all over again. Except a lot of people liked community before it went off the air.

If it does get dropped from NBC, I could really see it being picked up by The FX. It really just seems to fit in with what they have going on at that network.

I finally had a night of actually wanting to sit down and spend it in front of the TV with Community, Parks and Rec And the Office.

Community's tone has shifted drastically from S1 to the present, but the quality has never swayed. It got away from any type of relationship drama and just started kicking ass. So much talent on that cost, would hate to see it all go to waste.

Great episode this past week. Loved the 'Apocalypse Now' riff, and it was great to finally see Luis Guzman on the show. Oh, and Jeff Garland at the end was an absolute treat.

Such a great show. I hope NBC doesn't Britta this up anymore... it's such a great take on pop culture and television, I'd miss it sorely. In fact, they recently did a shoot for EW, acting out iconic film imagery:
