If I was just reading the stats sheet on this I'd say that Uruguay were totally just phoning this one in. 30% possession, 1 shot on goal and 4 yellow cards.

ok i take that back, you're right just van der vaart and van persie.
but they really look out of sync and disinterested.

Germans are just machines.

-----

Italy doing all the attacking and have all of the ball but can't finish. It is refreshing to an Italian team attack under this new coach. Italians will play the 2nd half 4-3-3.

Yeah, no surprises after pretty resounding first leg wins.

Klose 4 goals off of Gerd Muller to become Germany's all-time national scoring leader.

Broke Holland wide open. 3-0.

I dont have access to the Portugal game, so I'm just following the stats sheet.

At least it'll be a more open game, granted that suits Portugal more than Bosnia.

Why not? It's on TSN!

Anyways Bosnia is still in , essentially they're down by half a goal now. This series can no longer go to overtime.

For Germany having the so called "B" squad would probably actually make then better for a friendly like this.

Unlike most of the other top nations Germany always seems to have intense competition to make the starting 11, where as others tend to have the set 11.

It is this competition to be on the starting team that has always made Germany so dominant in friendlies.

Players are not willing to even take a small, inconsequential, friendly lightly because they know if they don't perform they will lose their spot in the squad.

Nani with a screamer!!! Begovic to blame for being a yard or so too far off the line or just a great strike?

A great strike, most keepers play a bit off their line these days to intercept through balls.

was a great shot

no complaints about the goalkeeping, Portugal needed their two world class players to step up today and they did

Wow. When Portugal turns it on, they really turn it on. That strike looked like something from a video game.
