Cory went down to the rally on Saturday where the unions showed their support for Occupy Calgary.
This video was the end result, chicken and all. He will have written blog post up tomorrow at www.corymorgan.com
Oh Cory. <3 <3.
The worst thing about all this is those pro-union jerks in the police uniforms had to protect that guy in the chicken get-up from "bumping" and foul (fowl?) language.
I guess we know what side their bread is buttered on. The COMMUNIST side (also known as the side of bread that has butter on it when it lands on their Stalinist marble floor that their dad bought with an iPad).
Posted it as a point of interest on the topic. Neither supportive, nor to "make them look bad".
Not sure what my volunteer time has to do with it, all the same I will answer.
I am the treasurer of my community association and am a WRP director. Both of these generally keep me busy most week nights and weekends. Averages about 20-25 hours a week. (this is on top of my regular 40 hrs/wk at work)
And as previously mentioned in this thread we occasionally help out homeless individuals by providing them transitional housing. (Currently have 2)
We give to the food bank; contribute money to charities and give blood.
In all honesty good for you.

Looks like the 24 hours notice to evict has been given, it'll be interesting to see if they leave (they won't) and how the city reacts after 9:00am tomorrow.
He's bored.
He's on time off.
He's been following it.
He's been advocating for equal application of by-laws.
Pick whatever reason you want.
Frankly, I wish he hadn't gone down. Each time he has they have become more aggressive towards him.
It's too bad your husband is focusing on that, and not really researching the bigger issues as to why these protests are happening in the first place. I agree the Calgary movement is silly, but maybe your husband's time would be better served by addressing some of the issues as to why people, in general, are participating in these movements.
Perhaps Cory can go to New York, conduct some research on the movement there, and bring his findings back here to share with everyone?
Filming unoccupied tents is one thing, but his time could be better spent doing something more constructive. Just my opinion though.
I applaud his dedication. Hopefully he gets some good footage when something finally happens if ever. As for these zipper heads i want to see them scream and flail like we all know they will when the police get tough.
Lets call this mayor to settle Nenshi's buddy buddy decision making
