This game looks awesome on PC, and is running really smooth. You can see forever!

My girlfriend is going to hate this game lol.

Is there a "public" method of unlocking the game early? Or do you have a hookup in Aus for the VPN?

Also - what kind of specs are you running Skyrim on?

this game sounds and looks absolutley brilliant

edit: for those who are PC gaming people, I need a recomendation if my rig can handle this or not. I've been out of PC game for a while, but my last PC build was stlil decent albeit 2 years ago. What are the recomended specs? I forget my processor, have 4 gigs of ram, and have a radeon 4950 with 2 gigs of video memory

I think my CPU is a core 2 duo....

Is there a consensus yet on which console version is better? I understand the PC will trump all but I'd rather get this for the console. Funny thing is that I actually built a new computer a few months ago for this purpose and now I'm heading back to the console. A nice waste of money there for me...

I'd think at one point the sheer size of a Bluray disc would be an advantage over the XBox because there'd be room for bigger textures, sounds, etc but I guess it doesn't make sense for the developers to make to different textures for different consoles.

Wow. I did not expect the difference to be that stark.

Wow. Ps3 blows it out of the water. Not even close.

I bought a $2 trial for a vpn from vpn secure. It worked well!

Running on Ultra, on a i7 920 (stock), GTX 295, and 6 GB DDR3. Buttery smooth

Due to space limitations maybe? DVD vs Blu-ray.

It's strange though, the PC installed file is roughly 5.6 GB. Shouldn't be that blatant of a difference.

Pretty sure the differences are because of a texture bug that will be fixed day 1.

I also read somewhere that the programming of software and games for the ps3 was so complicated that as time went on Ps3 would do this, provide more room for growth for betting looking games. A nightmare to make games for tho, at least it was a while back.

5.6GB!?

Wow, after CoD being what, 15GB that's positively tiny!

Good to hear. I have a similar setup (i7 920, 6GB DDR3) but I just recently replaced my dead HD 4870x2 with a new HD 6950. Should be fun.

IGN stated that when installed to the xbox hard drive there are no differences between xbox and ps3.

So i'm torn, I wasn't even looking at Skyrim until I saw that EB games trade-in deal and got rid of a couple of my kinnect games. So I pre-ordered yesterday for Xbox, today I downloaded the PC version and it looks amazing and has native Xbox controller support runs on Ultra on my PC and High on my laptop.

I'm curious how much different the xbox and PC will be and if I should just pick up the PC Version instead.
