“The vibe of the game is that it’s something that you can play forever,” Howard said.
The game’s Radiant quest system randomly generates new tasks based on your progress in the game. An innkeeper might ask you to hunt for bandits in a place you haven’t found yet, or an aspiring alchemist could request that you collect 10 undiscovered flowers for his work. Howard claims that the options are endless.
Should be a matter of personal preference as to which machine you play more/trust more to handle a higher end game. I believe most footage online has been of the 360 version(?). I also hear that 360s run extremely loud for a console when they are running at capacity.
Is PC not an option? If you can, get the PC version.
So would you recommend PC over console then? Trying to decide which is better, from what I've read in this thread and others, the modding is what makes the PC better...what about graphics/enjoyablility?
Thanks!

At the very least the graphics on PC will be equal to console, but likely better.
As for enjoyability it depends on personal preference. Do you prefer a controller or a keyboard/mouse? Is it more comfortable gaming in front of your PC or your tv? Do you like to mod your games?
Personally, I prefer consoles for RPGs and PC for FPSes, so I'll be picking this one up for PS3.

With school and work pinning me down for at least another month, I have decided to pass on Skyrim for a little bit because if I know ig I snagged it I would tank my final assignments and exams. Then I got thinking, how long after release does Steam discount stuff like this? Is there any hope of it being discounted during the Christmas Sales, or will it just likely be in a bundle with the rest of the Bethesda games?

Todd Howard has indicated that out of box the one advantage that PC will have is viewing distance, you will be able to see objects much farther depending on the capabilities of your PC.
That said, modern graphics cards will give you much better AA and AF than what the consoles can offer (I don't think the PS3 can even do AA), and much higher resolutions.
And everyone knows that even if Bethesda doesn't come out with a high res texture pack for PC the mod community will do so.
