Because some crazy extremist view is held by a fraction of people involved in the #occupy movement, we can obviously discredit everything that anyone in the movement stands for?
Way to turn an example into an absolute.
Even the reasonable demands will lose support if the "common man" is negatively impacted. Support for the movement is predicated on the belief that someone else will foot the bill for whatever, mostly unspecified, demands the group makes.
99% of people are now believing extreme views such as getting rid of oil production?
That's tin foil hat worthy.
Where did I say that? I said that the message coming out of this protest is those of extremists. They don't represent the 99%. They never have, and the more this goes on the more it has turned into a farce.

Quoting me, you essentially agreed that the whole message behind the protest is being turned into "end oil production" hijacked by extremists. I don't think that message is hijacking the entire protest at all - and I don't think 58%, 67% or 99% believe it either. I think most know about the environmental concerns, but are not letting those on the fringe hijack the protest message.
If anyone is hijacking it, it's the media focusing on the nutbars in the crowd.

Ozy, they cant criticize it as effectively if they can't focus on the fringe.

Hahahaha, I did no such thing. Nice attempt though, they could use some spinning skills like that down at occupy.
I will agree with your last point, but that's what you get when you refuse to present any organized statement or body. It was obvious from day one. You won't tell us what your points are or what you want? Fine, we'll go ask that gentleman in the tie dye with the 3 ft beard and run his quotes.
Are you seriously attempting to tell me that I was incorrect in what I thought I thought?? That's your argument? Well you know better what's going on in my head I suppose.
Honestly, there's no point in even having a discussion with you if you're going to go this route. I'm sure it makes it easier for you to avoid having to actually defend an issue though.

Are we really going to have this discussion again?
I think short responses are your kryptonite. Or the bane of your existence. I'm not sure which. Either way, in 10 years on this board, I have never seen anyone get as worked up as you over short responses.
And I don't have to post anything. I've made my point. Now if you excuse me, I have other things to do than be a keyboard warrior.

Short responses? No the issue is more one of you telling me what I think, despite the fact that I've quite clearly said the opposite repeatedly.
I also didn't ask you to post anything. In fact, nothing would be of more value.

Combine this with the city worker in Victoria getting doused in urine and you have some problems coming. Vancouver Protestors are referring to themselves as black shirts on Twitter.

I suppose the irony that these protestors are tweeting away about the evils of capitalism on cell phones that were made by under paid sweat shop workers in SE Asia escapes them.
