I have a hard time in qualifying the SK party as being center right. They advocated really hard to stop the bid on Potash Corp. If you have government involved that much in private business then you're still pretty far left on the grand slide rule.
I know that isn't the way the OP wants things portrayed here though, so carry on.

Yes, as the only successful provincial offspring of the Reform Party, they are quite far to the leftwing.
Just another confirmation that the Federal Parties are all nearly communists.

Well just let me know when the right wing position is to interfere in private business. I suppose the whole "free market" and "invisible hand" are good on paper, but when push comes to shove they go out the window? I'm not even picking on the SK party alone here; every party in SK right now supported the idea of stopping the Potash bid. I'm just laughing to myself when they try to project that they are somehow so much more center right than the NDP. Its a pretty small gap.

Let me know when one policy defines an entire party? I think any reasonable observer would conclude the SK party is definately right leaning, especially compared to their opposition and previous provincial governments.
They've lowered business taxes, cut royalties, ran balanced budgets, lowered personal taxes, supported dissolution of the wheat board, and reduced the role of unions and organized labour within government.
Oh and they opposed the sale of potash corp.

To be fair, foiling the takeover bid for Potash Corp also required some major help from the federal Conservatives, and I would say they are significantly to the right of the federal NDP.
Canadian political parties, aside from some extreme elements of the federal Conservatives or irrelevant provincial parties, really don't seem to have the same classical liberal ideological underpinnings of the American parties, or even some of the European ones. I think the vast majority of Canadians, and our political leaders, reject a completely free market approach. To me the biggest economic differentiations can be found in how gov'ts spend revenues and who they give tax breaks to (if they give them at all).

I believe they were also against the Buy American movement on the grounds that it went against free market principles. Can those two actions cancel each other out leaving us to look at where the rest of their policies lie on the political spectrum.
In reality though, I think they are simply to the right of the provincial Liberal and NDP parties. That doesn't mean they are actually in favour of things like freer markets or allowing shareholders to maximize the returns on their investments. Especially when the easy road is to agree with the other parties and the loudest voices.

Thats amusing, buts its more than one issue. Its pretty central to a right wing ideology. The point is government staying out of private business. Wall went as far as he could to block the sale, which is definitely nowhere near a right-wing position. Truth be told I think that he had to block that sale and it was the right thing to do....but that doesn't make it right wing either.

The CPC are basically liberals now, save for some of the "tough on crime" and social policies that some in the party would allow. If they don't seem it yet we can go down that road in a few hours after Flaherty announces that the deficit isn't going to be gone as planned. Thankfully though we'll have safe streets with the new prisons we get instead!

"The Green Party of Saskatchewan ran a candidate in every district and is now the third place party. It will take time, but citizens are responding to the alternatives that the Green Party offers. Greens have a long-term vision and are continually influencing the platforms of other parties. I'm very proud of our continual progress in Canada," said May.
