No doubt. How much could this guy have weighed? 130? That detailed laundry list of what he took is unreal (not that I'm a pharmacist). He obviously had built up a hell of a tolerance if that's what it took to get him to sleep.
In this guy's life, I don't think there is anything that the autopsy revealed that would surprise me. An OD is actually kind of pedestrian. If they revealed that swallowing ancient coins from Atlantis for luck had caused his death, I'd think "that's Michael for ya". Blood transfusions from cats, falling up the stairs, suicide, murdered by Diana Ross -- it could have been anything and the reaction would be the same.

Maybe he was superstitious about mirrors and hadn't looked in one since Thriller... Until that fateful night...

They can call this a homicide all they want, but I'm calling it a suicide. The guy knew what he was taking, was instructing his doctors to give it to him, and he was no doubt paying them extremely well to do what he asked.

As much as it is 'suicide' these Doctors have taken an oath to provide the best medical treatment for patients. Giving a patient too much drugs may be in the interest of the patient, but it is not the best medical treatment. The Doctor gave his patient an extremely dangerous drug, and the worst possible outcome resulted. He should be stripped of his title, and possibly a light jail sentence.
I don't think Michael Jackson paid the Doctor I think $150 000 a month for an over dose.

Yeah fair enough, he clearly overstepped his boundaries. I'm certainly not prepared to call him innocent in all of this.

Isn't part of the hypocratic oath to do no harm.
I was on the phone with my sister who's a doctor and gave her that laundry list and she was shocked that with that combination that he hadn't died earlier.
Basically the doctor has the obligation to say no to feeding a dangerous drug habit, not pump more extremely dangerous drugs into him.
She figures its more manslaughter then anything else, but that MJ's doctor is an idiot who should never practice again.

Michael Jackson’s personal doctor was found guilty Monday of involuntary manslaughter in the singer’s death following a six-week trial that captivated Jackson fans around the world.
Murray, 58, did not testify at the Los Angeles trial and could face up to four years in prison when the judge decides his sentence at a later date.
Murray swallowed briefly on hearing the verdict but otherwise looked impassive. Outside the court, more than 100 Jackson fans erupted in cheers.
The jury deliberated for about nine hours before reaching its unanimous verdict.

Michael Jackson was pretty much a junkie and paid Murray a lot of money to enable him. The doctor failed in the most basic way, his actions went against the whole concept of doing no harm. He was sloppy and negligant in his duties and he got off surprisingly light considering who the victim was.

Are you saying the punishment should be different depending on how influential or famous the victim is? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
Agreed that the doctor failed to uphold his duty, even on the most basic level.

Not at all, but we both know that its not how it works.
If I help some no name junkie die under my treatment, if I'm a doctor, then no media follows the trial, no pressure on the judge or jury being in the limelight, means lighter sentence.
I shoot up Michael Jackson, he dies, the judge is seeing those T.V. camera's and lights and knows that the public is watching my every move and evaluating everything I do, that books gettin flung.

No of course not. I had thought he was saying the punishment should be different depending on the victim, my misunderstanding.

I'm sorry man, but there's just no way you're not NHL009 (you can read his posts earlier in this thread.
-Both accounts were crazy about Micheal Jackson.
-Both from Edmonton and are Oilers fans
-Both east indian
-Both bragged (purposly or not) about wealth
-Both were terrible for "seen" trangressions, ie: I seen him do it
You post EXACTLY like him in every respect.

You and 4X4 should be hired (but not paid) by CP to hunt down and catch returning users. I believe you were the first two to find out who I...nevermind. Seriously though, you guys deserve custom CP stalker/PI user titles. EDIT: Dammit you both already have custom user titles.
Can you figure out who Pizza and OffsideSpecialist are? Pretty sure they are returning posters.
I keep thinking OffsideSpecialist is GreenTeaFrapp but he contributes way too much compared to GTF and he's much less of a dick. But then again maybe that is the plan to throw us off.

Pretty sure OffsideSpecialist isn't anyone. I just found out last week that he's a poster from sportsnet forums, where a small group of us used to chat Flames hockey, and he made his way here recently.
It's kind of fun finding out who the returning posters are. (Also, you have to add fotze to that list, he's actually the best at it). The key is most of you guys have easy tells, that don't take much digging to uncover.
With you, it was pretty easy due to your posting style and how vocal you are about things you like/dislike. In your case, it's good you came out and admitted it, because you're a solid poster and the forums are better with you here, you just go a little too far sometimes and that's what gets you in trouble.
With most guys though, they're banned because they should be banned, so it's more annoying to see them back under different names.

Not to get too offtopic here but thank you and damn I am a dick sometimes. The last few days I've been posting a lot and even when I think I'm really contributing I tend to be really crass with people. Is crass the right word? Maybe I meant dickish.
I have a hard time catching someone unless there is something very specific that I remember about them, like Amorak and his Audi. I think 4X4 figured me out when I said what kind of (stale) Italian coffee beans I buy. That blew my mind.
