By far my favourite dish at Taste, only on the dinner menu. A great wine selection at Taste as well. Never had a red that I was dissapointed with.

I find Globefish to be seriously overrated in the sushi department personally.

I'd nominate:

Calgary Special Roll from Misato.

I'd also agree wholeheartedly with the Chili Ramen from Shikiji that was noted in the original article.

well I dont live in Calgary anymore.....but whenever I do pop in I always head to Matador Pizza in Varsity for a "Pizza". Best pizza anywhere as far as Im concerned. Nothing like these out east.

My two picks:

Lamb Confit Melt - Divino.
This is probably the best sandwich I have ever had. It's lamb shoulder, slow cooked in duck fat then shredded and placed on a Ciabatta with fig jam, braised leeks and melted cambazola cheese. You seriously haven't lived if you haven't experienced this. It's that good! Only available for lunch though.

Elote - Ox and Angela. Charred corn dip with cheese, served with their own house made crispy tortillas. Doesn't sound very special, but my God is it ever good.

Damn I'm hungry now.
