I hear their next big goal is that they want to write a correctly spelled message of hope on the sidewalk in chalk... by Christmas.

Perhaps something like "fode iz bAsick humane rite!!!!1!1one!" would suffice.

Seriously they're making themselves laughing stocks by posting these responses. People are calling them lazy and uninspired, and they can't come up with a common message and it takes them a month to setup a camp site and buy a white board.

Yeah . . . I'm inpired, your changing the world you are.

Long-time lurker...... I only seem to post when an issue really irks me.

With my Grandpa being a WW2 vet, this photo really struck a chord with me.

Hopefully not a fata.

According to our favourite #Occupycalgary Twitter-er, we never will get a message from them either

#occupycalgary might not have demands. But it's clearly set itself up to stand against current social order. Isn't that enough for you?

Seriiously, if you're going to b%tch about the social order of things and that the evil corporatate execs are taking advantage of the poor common man, then at least show you're working as hard as the corporate exec.

All these spokespeople are doing is showing that there is a reason for a wealth gap, and that reason is that these are lazy directionless people with absolutely no plans no goals and no drive and they're worth the minimum wage jobs that are probably not good enough for them in their own mind.

For crying out loud, if I took 30 days to fulfil a project that required me to hang a white board and make camp ground suggestions, I'd be sleeping in a van down by the river.

They are clearly not standing against the social order, they are standing for nothing, and honestly doing nothing.

But but we have slogans painted on our tents . . . well what the hell did you do for the other 23 hours 59 minutes and 28 seconds of the day to better yourselves.

Seriously

This, is a thing of beauty.

We can all sit here on our high horses, and say we are better, or more motivated than the lazy losers squatting in a park begging for rubbers and asswipe. But none of us can claim to be better than our WW2 vets.

These guys were motivated by the annihilation of the western world, and freedom. Take a page you lazy, begging losers.

Seriously the people by City Hall are idiots.

http://www.calgaryherald.com/Olympic...705/story.html

Quote:
Calgary Homeless Foundation CEO Tim Richter sat with the campers in St. Patrick's park for about two hours in the morning. He offered immediate outreach and a referral for future permanent housing to the people on the island, provided they vacate the campsite by the city's deadline on Friday.
However, the proposal was rejected by a group of people who travelled to the city from the movement's other location at Olympic Plaza. Most of the protesters from that area said they were not homeless.
They claimed homelessness was a systemic problem, rejected the foundation's housing as a Band-Aid solution, and insisted they had the skills and wherewithal to survive the winter outdoors.

Maybe you're not, but it's abundantly clear that your "hubby", as you so endearingly refer to him as, is gearing up for a campaign in the near future, and using his opposition to the Occupy Calgary movement as a springboard.

He sounds like a broken record. Blah, blah, blah, get out of our park. Okay, Cory, what the hell is your job that you have the time to tweet 200 times a day about these idiots?

Or accept the free toaster when they set up their account.

And I would hope that they're using that money to help the helpless.

He ran in a nomination race earlier this year and lost. He is taking a break for now. Don't think he would consider a civic run; which this issue primarily is.

Not one that puts him in the 1%.... LOL

I tweeted all night thanks to Tweetdecks schedule feature.

Please, this is political posturing at it's finest. He didn't sign up to Twitter and post 100 times a day (literally, 1,360 posts in 14 days) just because that is what he felt like doing.

That's fine if that is how he wants to spend his time. Hell, I spend way too much time on CalgaryPuck and it's not all that productive (except for the Wannamaker thing, that was productive). But don't tell me he doesn't have a political goal in mind with all this noise he's making on this issue.

He joined Twitter in Feb 2011 a little more than 14 days ago.

Aside from that even IF he were doing this to further his political aspirations; what is the issue with that, so long as it's something he believes in?
