I personally didn't hear the comment while at the Summit, and don't make it sound like the comment made was the reason the guy was fired... Anyhoo here's a comment from the guy who originally made that comment.

Dave -

No matter the overall feeling I've had about each of the games of the NHL series, I always respected your willingness to talk to the community and gather a great deal of input on your game so that you could make changes that the community wanted.

When I told you about the guy (not a Sin Bin guy - but a fan, albeit prolly a bit less forgiving than I, nonetheless) who told me that I should "kick you in the nuts" at the Summit, it generated a laugh. Now that whole statement takes on a whole other meaning.

If EA let you go, then that will be their loss. The NHL series may move on and do well, but it won't have the same style and panache to it that you gave it. If you left of your own accord to pursue other opportunities, then good luck to you and I hope it works out for you.

Either way, I'd like to give you my heartfelt thanks for your time and effort. There have been games in the past that were far from perfect and I've been critical of EA and the NHL series in the past, but it's very clear to me that it was never for a lack of caring.

Thank you for your time in making a game that has filled hours of my life with enjoyment. Good luck in all you do!

I hear they're replacing him with one of the Blackbox guys, i've always enjoyed blackbox's games from NHL2k to the Hitz Pro games... I still don't think to date i've seen goalies as good as they were in Hitz Pro last year.
