there's a reason you don't see any zombie movies that take place in Canada during winter. one good freeze and your relentless zombie horde is now a big pack of popsicles

You need to watch Dead Snow....
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/
Doesn't take place in Canada...but it is "Zombies on Ice" so to speak. Nazi Zombies at that!

My wife and I actually just had this conversation the other night. Would freezing actually kill zombies, or would they just come back to "life" when they thawed out? In any case, the exposure would likely freeze most of them solid for a period of time so it would only be really difficult to survive the warmer months before getting a chance to stock up and fortify for the really dangerous times.
Also, do zombies have to feed to stay "alive"? Since they are technically just animated dead tissue and don't have regenerative or healing ability, wouldn't decomp eventually weaken them to the point of being relatively harmless?
I have so much to learn before the zombie apocalypse occurs.

I always imagine the winter part of my zombie apocalypse being spent touring around my general area chopping the heads off frozen zombies to thin out the population. I've also actually considering buying a machete or Kukri just in case some form of apocalypse actually happens.
On the last talking dead Robert Kirkman kind of addressed the speed thing saying that the fresher the zombie the faster it be and the "older" the zombie the slower due to decomp.

I'd love it if you comic book readers had your own thread, honestly. All the "well this happened it the comics" or "according to the comics" stuff gets a little old. Just my opinion.

Zombies can be fought with Cardio. It is a clear fact and covered in the documentary called Zombieland.

This weeks episode is going to be intense. Shane and Otis are hooped big time. Going to be a lot of zombies dying on Sunday.
Also, I'm pretty sure T-Dawg is going to become a zombie, infection? LOL yeah with the zombie virus you fools.

Actually, in the comic books, oilers_fan is one of the first victims of the zombie apocalypse.

Exactly, he cuts his arm pretty bad, is about to be eaten, Daryl rescues him by killing the walker, then piles the walker on top of him to hide him...thus getting zombie juice in an open wound...he's done. Hopefully he eats balloon lips right off the hop.

Ha! That ending was awesome. Not very often can a TV show make you go wow, but they've managed it twice so far this short season.
Haven't liked Shane until now, I hope he's totally lost his mind.
Speaking of lost, hope they never find that little girl.

At first I was horrified at what Shane did, but then my gf turned around and asked what I would do in that situation, and I honestly couldn't answer. But now that I think about it a bit more...
Awesome episode though!

Yeah, that's a hard question with Otis. Drastic times call for drastic measures and I think as this season rolls on we're going to see more of the characters have to react in these situations. Can't wait.
I liked Jon Heder on the talking dead's point about the whole 'Otis ordeal'...
And about the talking dead, the host of that was pretty lame last night. I didn't mind him in the first one but his sort of interview with the executive producer just plain sucked. He kept cutting her off and trying to crack jokes while she was trying to give insight. Kind of lame.

The one thing I didn't like was when they were on top of the bleachers in the gym with a dozen or so zombies below them. At that point they had enough bullets to just kill the zombies that were below them and just walk away.

Outside of the tense final moments I wasn’t a big fan of that episode. It seems to me they are trying to do too much with not enough time to develop current story lines. Between Shane and Otis, Rick and Laurie, Shane and Laurie, Carl getting shot, the old guy and what’s her name, trying to find the little girl, the black guy with the arm cut, and this new girl with the Asian guy, just too much is going on. I’d much prefer if they stuck to two storylines and just spent time developing them rather than being a catch call with every character.

I think they'll continue killing off some of the main characters in the next few episodes. T-Dog will probably be next because he should be dead already. The old guy with the beard will get bit and the blonde chick will loose her s**t and go on a killing spree. The Jamie Lee Curtis mother will finally crack and go running into the woods to try and find her daughter, that'll be the last we see of her.
