He wouldn't have been a Packer, thats for sure. I don't think he was willing to resign if he wasn't the starter that year. Good thing the Packers picked the right guy

The AFL's Chicago Rush announced via press release that it is extending an offer to Owens, a six-time NFL Pro Bowl wideout, for the 2012 season. The contract would be for the normal player agreement and pay $400 per week.

I'm grateful for everything he did for UF but I can care less what he does in the pros. I just thought that was funny

"I stuck my neck out for him," Russell said. "Didn't complain when he benched me as the starter. Didn't complain when he called the same plays five damn times. Didn't (badmouth) him to other coaches. When the (media) asks me, I say, 'He's a good coach, a good guy.' Then I hear he says I was the worst thing that ever happened to the Raiders, if it weren't for (me) we'd be in the playoffs? ... It just got to where the game wasn't fun for me."
Apparently though, he's been quite generous in Mobile Alabama, so although he might end up broke, it seems that he did do a few good things with Al Davis' money.
He's still awesome if he ends up in the NFL again I have a new avatar.
This is awesome.

Do you think the Colts would seriously trade Manning if they got Luck?
Despite their record, I just can't see this situation actually playing out. I've watched a few of their games this year, and - last Sunday night aside - I felt they've actually been pretty competitive, they could easily have a couple wins by now. I've actually been impressed with Curtis Painter given the situation as well, he's quietly been coming around lately (going into the Saints game he was the NFL's 9th rated QB).
I just can't see them finishing 32nd this year, I think they're gonna pick up at least a couple wins in the second half of the season. The Dolphins are much worse.
When you watch a Giants game like the one today, it's clearly rigged.
They're coming off a bye. Eli overthrowing his receivers by 10 yards.. going for it on 4th and 9 in the 1st quarter for no reason. Giants have taken 3 personal fouls just for stupid things teams never do, like headbutting a pile of players.

Maybe they are just a disorganized, undisciplined team that's given up on its crazy head coach? Naw it's probably rigged.
They haven't given up. They were brilliant 2 weeks ago beating Buffalo. It doesn't just turn on a bye week. They're not playing bad like bad teams do, they're just missing assignments, dropping balls and taking penalties on purpose nobody takes. Offensive line is missing very basic blocks so Eli gets pressured.
But this drive is looking better. I guess the first half money is in their pocket already. They can play now.

Rigged common, you can't be serious. Eli has been on the money other than a few throws. He's thrown for 186yards. The dolphins are 0-6 and can't get more than 15 points a game, why not go for it on there 34 yard line. We have a horrible secondary.
The dolphins are horrid and played lights out for a while. We came back into our shell in the last 2 minutes there. I have the utmost confidence the dolphins will lose this game and keep our suck for luck in tack.
The call to go for it on the 34th was fine, but the play call was insane. 4th and 9 get they should around 10 yards across the middle, don't throw into double coverage into the endzone and overthrow the receiver by 10 yards.
The Dolphins got 14 points very easily. Giants have tightened up now.
The rigged part is over, the Giants will crushed them now.

You do realize that throwing an interception deep into Miami territory is the second best thing that can happen on that play. It's easier than trying a 28 yard pooch punt.
If anything it's the Giants defense who've been compromised.
