Plus the price range is much more manageable than the Jag (obviously it's a very different car).

Anyone know about MB dealership quality in Calgary?
Not a huge fan. BIL had a 2008 with 40K that blew the entire driveline and transmission (AWD C300).

Entry cost is low, but options are super expensive on MBs, so it gets crazy quick once you add the options you want.

Yeah I'm kind of seeing that through the website, though I probably won't be buying new anyway.

I'm thinking seriously about a MB CLS 550 but I'm finding the dealerships a 'challenge', i.e. just about the entire experience has been unpleasant so far. It's been difficult to get decent reference points for what a purchasers expectations should be given that I've never dealt with MB (or any other higher end dealer) or for a high end vehicle before.

Edit: The Audi R8 review is hilarious, especially when they bring in Richard in the Porsche.

That video makes me want to dump a bunch of cash into our Camaro. That turbocharged one sounds amazing.

Took a 2012 Mustang GT (400+ hp) for a pretty good test drive yesterday. Man, what a fun car! On the big loop merging from 22x onto MacLeod I tried to kick the ass end out but traction control kicked on...I think if I owned the car I'd disable that everytime I fired it up. It was a bit of a buzz kill haha.

But other than that, the car felt super tight and drove nice. It wasn't as firm as I'd want on the corners but I think a strut tower brace would help so I'd get that for sure.

Will probably get one, but I'd want it to be a couple years old to avoid the big depreciation hit. The car priced out at $40k which seems exhorbitant for a Mustang IMO.

Its a car that delivers performance unmatched by anything under $50K that I can think of, so the price is really quite reasonable.

What 's really interesting here (though not necessarily surprising) is almost half the list is Korean cars, but there isn't a single Japanese car on the list.

That Veloster pick boggles my mind a bit, anyone know what else was in that category this year?

Veloster is supposed to be an amazing handling car and a spiritual successor to the CRX. it weighs like 2,200 lbs or something.

Also, Hyundai announced the 207HP turbo 1.6L that will go in it shortly. That will be a friggin awesome pocket rocket.

Don't get me wrong I really like the look of the Veloster, and between the turbo version of that and the upcoming 240+ HP Focus ST, next year looks to be a great year for hot hatches. I'm just not sold on the idea of the standard version being considered a performance car.

I've tried using that joke a couple times. Seems people have forgotten the commercial, or don't even realize my car is a Forte since I took off the Forte badge and Kia emblems.

Thing I dislike about the C-Class is that the interiors really aren't up to snuff with the competition unless you're looking at spending gobs of cash on interior upgrades or the C63 AMG. Love the exterior aesthetics, however.
