They really know how to put on a show. Floor was a bit tamer than when I saw them in 2007 in Saskatoon but I'm guessing it's because it's a work night. Regardless Dave is an awesome frontman and they played for a solid 2 hours and 40 minutes. They played lots off their new album (which I love) and all the classics. There wasn't a song I didn't know. Wicked night!

Wow.

Loved the tributes to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Tom Petty. Seems a lot of they younger people didn't understand wtf was going on.

Great show. Saw them in 05 at the dome. Dave played Everlong acoustic back then. I had always wanted to see the original version. Wish granted!

Mix sounded awful. Very muddy and echo-y. Maybe was the spot in the dome, but probably the worst sounding show I've been to there (this year have seen soundgarden, blink, and pearl jam - all were exponentially better sounding).

All that said, still love me some foo. Just wish it had been a better acoustic experience.

I was/am pretty loaded, but loved the Petty cover. Afterward they started to play a different cover...it sounded familiar, but couldn't immediately place it; then they stopped playing and stated they should never play a cover that they can do better.
ahh wdf they just did a Petty cover, good but not as good as Petty.
Anyways, anyone know/remember what the song was? Tool?

Wow I can't believe that it sounded bad to some people!! Floor seats were absolutely awesome. Great show. Dave Grohl is the man.

Soundgarden, I believe. He said, "never cover a song that's better than anything you've done" (paraphrase). It was a compliment to Soundgarden.

glad i'm not crazy. Lots of other reviews out too there complaining about the sound quality at multiple venues on this tour. Sucks. Cool that the floor sounded good, but yeah.

Oh and we were sitting corner back first row of second level. Pretty decent seats but I dunno maybe it was the acoustics of the dome or whatever.

Yeah, he played the beginning of "Outshined".

Great show, he's one of the better frontmen out there. Tons of energy.

I was on the floor as well and the mix sounded pretty good to me. Couldn't hear Chris too well all the time but they do have three guitars going. I think the acoustics of the Dome are just not ideal for big rock shows like this. I saw Velvet Revolver way back from further in the back and the mix was just atrocious.

On the subject of the concert though, I think the Foos are one of the few big rock bands these days that still know what the f*** they're doing. Tickets were affordable ($70 for GA Floor seats), the merchandise was about 25% less expensive that any other big act ($30 for shirts, $50 for hoodies), and they played for almost three hours with tons of energy and lots of great songs. Their new album is on par with anything they've ever done and it showed as a lot of the new songs get a similar reaction to parts of the classic Foo canon.

Dave is just unbelieveable to watch live, just so much energy and enthusiasm, and he always takes time to talk to the crowd and make the people in the very back row feel like part of the show too.

I'll pay to see the Foos play anytime I get the chance.

Rough set list if I can remember:

Bridge Burning
Rope
The Pretender
My Hero
Learn to Fly
White Limo
Arlandria
Breakout
Cold Day in the Sun
Stacked Actors
Walk
Monkey Wrench
Let it Die
These Days
This Is A Call
All My Life

Wheels
Best of You
Times Like These
Dear Rosemary
Breakdown (Tom Petty cover)
Everlong

IMO......not very good. They seemed to have it going on for a song and then just completely suck for a couple. It was kind of frustrating as they could have really rocked.

Foo........holy frak, just an amazing experience. I would walk through fire for that band.....they gave 100% for 3 hours. Incredible!!!!
