From what I remember in the thread, you go to the place, they allow you to make a customized order and give you a time frame as to when it will be done (all without requiring a deposit - rare in Calgary).
Then if you try to call the place a few minutes before the cake could be done to cancel it and maybe they are busy so they dont answer it and you leave a message to cancel and apparently that is what is ok for cancelling a specialized order that you made in person that day.
Then you go on a forum and complain that the owner doesnt want to get screwed on his cake and he calls a few times to see if you are going to pick it up.
Some would think that if you make a customized cake order on day X in person and imply that you need it "quickly" and the business gives you the classic well it could take 4 hours, but some retailers in this city thankfully arent cold hearted ba$tard$ and so they try to rush your cake and then they expect you to pick it up. I dont think its unreasonable but that is just 1 opinion.
