Go to the dollar store. You'll get them cheaper there and the Dollarama I went too had like 30+ of them.

Me and my buddy are going as Vancouver players/rioters/anarchists.
We have a snorkel and goggles, currently looking for flippers. We're going to buy canuck practice jerseys (or shirts), and I want to buy a big anarchy flag and put it on a hockey stick.
As for props, we're going to be ordering a beer at the club we go to, chug it, then go to the bathroom and put paper towel coming out the end to make it look like a molotov (as I'm sure clubs won't let us in with one already made, we make it in the club).

Those are great ideas. I'm hoping to just get a cheap Canucks T-shirt with no names on it, and then make my own name bar:
RIOT

There's a few stories on the internet if you google Vancouver Riot and Pringles.

Burn up a teddy bear a little bit, tie a noose around it's neck and have it hanging off of a hockey stick. I remember seeing pictures of a guy walking around with that. Extra points if the bear is wearing a Bruins jersey.

I would never wear Canuck gear, even as satire.

Children wanting to wear scary, violent or blood-drenched costumes will have to trade them in for more caring and community friendly outfits at two public elementary schools this Halloween.
The principal of Colonel Walker and Ramsay schools said her staff has chosen to use the day normally known for scares and frights as an opportunity to teach community values.

LAME! WTF is a 'Caring Costume'?

Letter from our school:
Students are invited to wear a costume to school in the afternoon. We ask that costumes reflect school values and do not include weapons or violent themes.

I dunno, seems reasonable. some schools will have a 5 year old class of kindergarten and 11 year old class of grade 6s, that's a big jump in what's appropriate.
Really, it sounds like the school is just trying to cover its bases in terms of what kind of flak it might get from oversensitive parents to me.
as a side note, since I am not in calgary, I'm dressing up as a cowboy this year

It will be hard to do it, but we are going to use them as fuel for a bonfire afterwords.
