Wow, great song and video. Hope that guy made a lot for his performance!
The first few singles from this album have been amazing. Huge Coldplay fan, can't wait to hear the rest of it.
What did you think of the album? Personally, I think overall this wasn't their best album. Paradise and Charlie Brown, followed by Princess of China and Mylo Xyloto were the standouts on the album (all not A+ in terms of some of the usual Coldplay hits). I was pretty disappointed with 3-4 songs which seemed to have nothing going for it. Overall I'd give the album a 3 of 5.
Cowpuncher was birthed in a lethargic swamp in the recesses of Southern Alberta; they are the after birth of a misanthropic mother nature and an indifferent father time. With guns drawn and wits sharpened like steel points they come to plunder the Canadian musical landscape with a sound that borders paranoid country with a stinking wool mitt of rock and roll. Cowpuncher is a collective of the finest musicians that Western Canada has to offer and they are unabashedly passionate in the performance of their high energy brand of music.
Pretty much a coin toss between putting this here or in the metal thread. Nightwish just put out a new single in anticipation of their upcoming album, Imaginaerum.
Unsurprisingly not backing away from that huge symphonic sound they've been building. I've never been that into Nightwish, but they've always been tons of fun and I thought their last album was maybe their best one so far, so I'm definitely interested in seeing what they'll do this time. Can't imagine they'll top The Poet and the Pendulum, though

A confident, unvarnished attempt at taking arcane high art (Lulu is based on theatrical German expressionism from the early 20th century) and repackaging it for denim-clad teenagers huffing gas in Arizona parking lots.
That review mostly sums up for me why I think that album is the most metal album released this year. There isn't one thing that isn't challenging about listening to it. It's so metal it doesn't care its metal.
Just got Chris Cornell's Songbook album - simply amazing - although I am a huge Cornell mark. The sound quality is fantastic and the song selection is different enough from the shows I've seen to be a new listening experience

there was a bootleg of this over 2 years ago, loved it. Wish his acoustic tour would have come here.
Death pervades undun; it follows Stephens, a poor kid from Philadelphia and victim to the drug trade, from the moment he surrenders himself to the game all the way to his inevitable end. Along the way, no verse is wasted, no optimism is spared; each line is like a shovelful of dirt on Redford's coffin. At 39 minutes, undun feels like a lifetime, because it is one.
