I remember not being happy with the Kiprusoff trade and making it known in a post or two on CP. I failed to see how an unproven 3rd string goalie with a then sub .900 save percentage was going to rectify our goaltending woes.

Obviously we know how that all ended up working out...

I posted that Phaneuf in his first pro year, should spend a year in the AHL. That notion was soon shown to be ridiculous but a few years later, maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. He might have actually learned how to play defence.
