####. You.

Protesters are pining about their 'rights' yet have no qualms about inconveniencing and making life miserable for others. They think nothing of the rights of those who they are violating, all in the name of spreading a message that none of them even know themselves.

"We want change!"
What do you want changed?

No thanks to the hug, I don't know if whatever it is that makes you so delusional is communicable.

How dare those 'evil' corporations close down plants!

Seriously, what is a company supposed to do when a plant or operation is no longer profitable and a drain on the balance sheet? Run it anyway and eat losses until they go bankrupt?

So after 7 pages of this thread, it can basically be summed up as you're either a stupid hippy or a corporate lemming.

If the stupid hippies could realize they need to work a little harder, and the corporate lemmings could realize the system needs to be a little more accountable and fair, things could be all right.

Haha exactly. Accountability is key here; I think people want the corporate execs responsible for the wanton Wall Street activity until 2008 to be held accountable for their actions. As professionals, they should have seen it coming and put a stop to it; instead, it seemed to have been enouraged more and more. And how are normal citizens (non-experts) supposed to have a faith in a system that is incredibly complex to understand and was mis-used at the average joe's expense? I think that's where alot of the anger lies. People put trust in these experts, and then this happened.

I know at my job, people entrust us to provide them with a service because we're the experts; that's why they come to us. Although not legally binding, we have strict regulations from provincial associations and institutes about fees we can charge and the standard of work that needs to be accomplished. We could take short cuts and gauge here and there, but my firm has policies that that is not how we will conduct our business. And our clients thank us for that.

I run several successful businesses actually, no need for a job. But thanks for your concern.

Off topic, but if I order a business card can I get the hottie on your website to deliver??

On a serious note, thanks for your contribution to the thread. My goal with this thread was to create discussion and it certainly has done that!

Haha, now there's a good idea to boost client retention! The UPS delivery drivers aren't usually anything to write home about, lol... but you never know, may get lucky!

So if all these asshats made it significantly difficult in some way for you to run your businesses or for customers to direct their patronage to your businesses, you'd be fine with that? You'd have no problem with just saying "Big deal, there are much larger issues at play here"?

Ironic for those in this thread telling the "occupier"s to find/get a job while doing so most likely on work time. If the "occupiers" are "wasting" their time and energy, what exactly are those telling them to get a job doing? Oh that's right, doing the same thing except they get paid for it.

No get back to work, you lazy bum, before I tell your boss!!! BTW, I suppose I'm in the same boat too wiling away on the internets

I'm glad to see the "movement" grow, and I find it funny that there is a specific group here that mock, bully and belittle those who support this movement. Love for the status-quo indeed.

Right now it is about support for change. Yes it is a broad stroke, but once the attention is so great that they can not be ignored the organized ideas will rise to the top like tasty cream. It sucks that it's not happening the way you'd like it , but really the important thing for the majority is that it is happening.

I think that most of these comments and posts created by the negative belittle mockers are just shining their personality traits. Poor personality traits mind you, but you have to work with what you've got I guess...

This is a lovely double-standard you have here. So the 'movement' is allowed to spew all the garbage it so desires - no matter how out of touch with reality it is - but any feedback from those who don't agree with it and suddenly they're the negative ones?

You hold a different standard for your group's opinions than for the opinions of others. It's cool, don't worry about it.

Parts of this movement deserve to be mocked. Truthers, hippies, people begging for condoms and toilet paper that they can go get themselves. People who have no clue what they are protesting about, but dammit, we're gonna camp in Olympic Plaza anyway!

People arrogant enough to believe that those who aren't blindly supporting this mess are "naive" and don't deserve to comment. Think about that. Free speech is important to your cause only as long as said speech agrees with you. Double standard FTW!

Speaking of double standards, I don't think you ever replied to my question about your willingness to trample Brookfield's rights while complaining about your own.

OTOH, People who have a legitimate message I have no problem with. But it is counterproductive to have a dozen different messages presented at once. Especially when half of those messages stupid and self-serving.

There is no double standard. It's the backhanded comments that I am referring to. You can have a different opinion. Anyone can have an opinion that differs, but when an opinion that differs from you appears, you feel then need to act inappropriately. (By you I don't mean "just you". )

There are a lot of topics that need to be addressed. There has been a lot of ignorance over the last 10 years. There is a lot to answer for throughout the Colonies, not just the USA. But the most important is economic stability, and the right for due process and Justice when banking criminals get away with economic murder.

Who cares if they ask for toilet paper and condoms, (jeez, I'd think you'd support the fact that they don't want to reproduce) if they don't get it or the do there is no harm in asking! IMO it is being responsible not to crap where you sleep. If you don't get your request then get it yourself.

Resolute 14 - You are one of the worst in this thread for back handed-bully comments and you expect a respectful response?
