Well yeah, that's because he called them liars on twitter. Piss off the Sun and they drop you by a letter grade on the report card! That'll show him.

That's two letter grades better than I would rank the Calgary Sun as a newspaper.

Anyone at the Russell Brand show on the weekend at the Jube hear what he referred Nenshi as.

He was reading from a FFWD and A Metro newspaper there was article about his 86% approval and he said
"Nenshi what the hell is that. Just what is a Nenshi. Is that a anal rash on your bum like a fungi. Ohhh mate looks like you have got a Nenshi."

The crowd roared with laughter.

Anyways it was an odd comment that the sold out crowd thought was funny.

I can't imagine why anyone would pay to see Russell Brand.

Russell Brand is a comedic genius.

I voted for Nenshi - AND really its pretty hard to screw up being a Mayor...have no problems with him...and anytime i see him roaming the streets of other canadain cities, i feel a tad proud.

From a citizen standpoint, I give Mayor Nenshi an A for transparency. I love his social media updates, spoken in plain English, and I love how he's not afraid to report on progress (or lack thereof). It's nice having a politician who is down-to-earth, unlike others I can speak of.

We had an employee install some equipment in what is apparently Nenshi's bomb shelter today. It's about four stories down just off Edmonton Trail and is almost complete. Anyone ever heard of this thing being made?

That's not Nenshi's bomb shelter, that is the city's emergency services centre. It is a command and control type facility for the city to use in the event of a large scale emergency.

Thanks for the clarification - I thought it sounded a little strange that a facility like that could be built without people knowing about it. The fellow working there probably isn't helping things by telling people that.

It's not on Edmonton Trail, it is right next to Rotary Park on 6th avenue NE. Between Centre and Edmonton trail.
