Brady not great today, but that's all forgotten with his 2 minute drill at the end of the 4th. Pats win, the defenses in this game were surprisingly good.

The Raiders tried to lose this game, but the Browns would not be denied.

pfft.

I'd be making Mike Brown an offer he can't refuse.

I saw some people saying that as an option as well, but I don't see it

why give something up for what is not that big of an upgrade, arguably based on the last few years not an upgrade at all, instead of getting someone for free

That was quick.

Thought I'd see more of those type of plays since Cutler was traded, with Knox and Hester Jay Cutler should be able to throw deep and let his receivers just run underneath.

Well, if you want to throw away a great chance at a division championship I'm not going to argue.

Why not turn the keys over to Pryor!

Garrard has been better than Palmer ever since the Steelers destroyed Palmer's knee

2009 83.5 QB rating, 15 td, 10 int, 323 rush yards and 3 tds
2010 90.8 QB rating, 23 td, 15 int, 280 rush yards 5 tds

2009 83.6 QB rating, 21 td, 13 int, 93 rush yard 3 td
2010 82.4 QB rating 26 TD, 20 int, 50 rush yards 0 TD

who would you rather have?

Palmer.

Especially with the receivers the Raiders have. It's a perfect set up for him.

When are the Vikings going to stop with this 'we don't have to run Adrian Peterson' attitude?

It's so stupid.

RUN AP.

Chicago has 9 in the box on running downs. Not even AP can bust that

Don't care. 8 touches for that guy in a half is not smart. Period.

David Garrard never has been and never will be better than Carson Palmer....ever.

Besides.....Palmer will be ready made for Hollywood when Oakland moves back to L.A. in a year or two.

Interesting article from the Miami Herald tonight:
http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/10/1...nchise-in.html

Quote:
Ross wants a franchise quarterback at the helm in 2012. He is said to be committed to veer away from any attempt that would add a “caretaker” quarterback as a potential starter. He is said to be tired of watching the Dolphins field backups disguised as starters.
Quote:
Ross is apparently so committed to doing this that the source confirmed it was the owner himself who told Jeff Ireland to shut down the attempt to add Kyle Orton in the summer when the general manager was still trying to trade for the Denver quarterback.
Quote:
Sources close to Ross said the owner is open to either hiring a superstar head coach who would have final say over all of football operations or hiring a football czar type who would hire a coach and either hire a general manager or serve as the GM while having final say over all personnel moves.
Quote:
Ross doesn’t want the next hot offensive coordinator to run the Dolphins as his signature hire. He doesn’t want to give someone else’s assistant general manager the keys to the organization to pick players and hire a new coach.
“We can’t afford to take that gamble,” the source said. “The guy we hire to run this team won’t be learning on the job.”
