Kypreos is the only one that seems to do any homework on the Flames. The rest seem to operate on three year old hearsay.

Just got my premiere edition of Sportsnet magazine in the mail. I laughed as soon as I saw it because it reminded me of this thread, Death Watch! Haha what's that at right now?

Only flipped through it for about 2 min, I'll look more at it later (most likely next time I have to fire one out), but in that brief time it actually looks like a decent mag. They seem to have a large "quick hit" type section, similar to SI's Scorecard, which I always enjoyed. Good for the porcelain throne. But of course it is SN so I'm naturally suspicious.

EDIT: Anyone else get this? I should mention its free, I didn't order it or anything. So I'm assuming its making the rounds.

I signed up for it, sounds like I should have it in my mailbox when I get home. I'm skeptical of the quality but I'll give it the trial period to sort itself out.

I was expecting this magazine to be something like Canadian produced TV- notably lesser quality than what comes from south of the 49th parallel.

I actually quite liked reading the first issue of Sportsnet Magazine. I hope they keep it up!
