Except that Indy sucks even harder and couldn't beat the lowly Chiefs at home. I think Indy is the front runner in the Luck sweepstake.

Take a look at the Broncos remaining schedule. The only game I can see them winning with Tebow as starter is the Dolphins game. They could go 2-14. Looking at the Colts schedule there is a few winnable games left for them and the Colts still maintain Manning could return (not sure why unless it's to let him see if the surgery has him 100%). IMO both teams will be kneck and kneck. Personally I hope the Colts finish last as I love seeing the Broncos stink but things are falling into place for the Broncos.

I tend to agree. Denver has just enough parts to keep them out of last. Although I would have thought the same with Indy. Miami is another team that I could see being at the bottom when all is said and done. They could also really use a quarterback.

Yep. The matchup against the Broncos will be a big one for them. They lose that game and they are the frontrunners and of all the teams I could see them purposely tank because of the empty seats in the stadium, lame duck head coach, no QB prospects in the system.

Well in regards to Indy...it's not like the AFC South is a powerhouse Division. I mean, are the Jaguars any better than the Colts? Even the Titans now with their injuries at WR are a vulnerable team. Although I didn't see the Colts and Chiefs game, but I was reading in the comments that people felt the Colts went out of their way to lose that game with their play selection after the first half.

They do need to play the Chiefs twice. I see the Broncos winning one of those games at the very least.

Unfortunately the Chiefs are just good enough to miss the big prize. Its like the Flames of the dark years...pathetic, but not bad enough for 1st overall. Its a shame. You would think with all of their injuries it would be enough.

Other than the game at Lambeau, the Broncos have had a chance to win every game. Without Orton brainfarts they probably would have won more than one.
I'm not sure how that equates to 1-15.

Derek Mason is on his way to the Texans. Does this mean Andre Johnson may be out a couple extra weeks.

I don't think anybody who follows the Texans is surprised at Johnson being out longer then originally stated. First, hamstrings are always unpredictable. Second, Kubiak and his cronies ALWAYS downplay injuries. When I hear, day-to-day it means 2 weeks. Week-to-week (what is what they said about 'Dre) means at least a month. I won't be surprised if he stays out until after the bye week.

i think there is a whole lot of get the f out Derek mason after some of his comments about the the Jets play calling.
Seems to be a good fit of one team needing to get rid of a guy and another team needing a guy for two weeks and being able to put up with is crap for that limited time.

I say the Dolphins are the team to beat in the Luck sweepstakes.
Truly terrible offence and they are in a division with 3 competitive teams (assuming the Bills are for real).
Drafting Luck would be fantastic for the Dolphins though. That team has been looking for a quarterback for a looong time.

The three teams who have beat the Chiefs this year have a combined record of 13-2. The two teams the Chiefs have beat have a combined record of 1-9. It's been a feast or famine schedule for them so far. Maybe they have a bit more fight in them than I gave them credit for, as they actually pulled off some type of rally against the Chargers and found a way to let Minnesota, and Indy out suck them.
Ever since they started trying the odd throw to Steve Breasten it seems like the offence has been improved considerably. Enough of the offensive line coach dink and dunk attack where you throw the ball 50 times a game to get 200 yards.
Maybe they're good enough to win 5 or 6 games this year if they can keep getting the ball to Bowe and Breaston.

Another thing to consider is that two years ago the Eagles had impressive QB depth at that time with McNabb, Kolb, and Michael Vick. All three are now starting QB's for NFL teams.....their combined record is 3-12 to start the season. I think that the Eagles are the only one of those teams who likely win more than 4 games this season.
I have to wonder if Ken Whisenhut will be on the hot seat. They paid to go out and get a QB...they have the second oldest team in the NFL...and they have 1 win to show for their efforts, and it's not like they've had a brutal schedule so far having played teams like Carolina, Seattle, Washington, the Giants at home, and Minnesota.

The Fish have only two winnable games (Denver and KC) and Indy has 5 winnable games against Tennessee and Cincy and Jacksonville. So I would agree that the Fish is the one to beat in the Luck sweepstakes.

there is a lesson here, you can talk trash and sound like a complete moron ala Cromartie, drop f bombs towards other players in the league BUT DO NOT question the jets and their "potent" offense. If Romo doesnt fall apart, the JETS are stuck at 1 win, no wonder Rex isnt quite as loud these days

I know we're a ways off, but I was just flipping through my new Sportsnet mag (while it still exists) and came across an ad for the Bills/Skins game at Rogers Centre at the end of the month. I kinda forgot how they do that one game a year. Now that they're actually looking like a playoff contender (and playing another surprising one), that's actually a pretty huge game now. Sucks for Bills fans to have that one taken away from them.
The crowd at Rogers better bring some energy & help the Bills out, seeing as its a "home" game for them. If it ends up being as lethargic as the last couple I saw there, then they're too pathetic to even deserve an NFL team.

Aaron Curry traded to the Raiders for a 7th round pick this year and conditional 2013 pick.
Certainly time to cut losses for SEA...a #4 overall pick, and a top 5 consesus pick from virtually every expert in 2009, but never put the physical skills together with the mentality needed for the pro game.
He was getting outplayed by journeymen and rookies alike in SEA's linebacking corps each year and given every opportunity (and probably more than some teams would give him) but never did impress.
Played the last few games as well, but missed tackles and missed assignments, and spelt the end for him. A nice guy and seems to be a smart guy, but something in Oakland has to change big time for him to become anything out of the bust he's pretty much classified as now.
