Default Free write / Draw on a PDF or Word Doc on a mac

Just seeing if the fine folks of the CP community have had any luck with programs that allows you to handwrite (using a stylus style mouse) on to a PDF or a word DOC.

Apparently Onenote is a nice way to go, but I am looking for a more budget friendly way of going about this.

Oh, and ideally it's for a mac

PDFPen is probably the leader in this category.

Edit: I didn't realize you were looking for free/low-cost, sorry.

Edit: how about this one (haven't tried it myself..): http://skim-app.sourceforge.net/index.html

I tried skim last night, I am thinking that is my best bet right now. PDF pen seems to let you do whatever you want, except free write... at least in the version i had tried, maybe the pro version was needed, thanks though, skim seems pretty sleek actually, like preview but better

Yeah, I was playing around with skim as well, and its not bad. I seldom need free-hand on a PDF (never actually), so the simple annotation tools built into Preview have been enough for me.
