Default What was your first car?

Mine was a 1981 Datsun pick-up extended cab. She was always reliable!

1992 Mazda 323.
I loved it.

It had power nothing.
Bought it for $2800 and drove it for three years before I bought my 2002 Acura RSX

A maroon 1988 Ford Tempo L. The L stood for luxury. Jealous? Youuuuu're jealous.

1980 Mercury BobCat.

I swear that car was just a totally natural form of birth control.

A 1960 Volkswagon Beetle, covered in rust and dents. If you really pushed and had a neutral wind situation, you could probably push it to 60 mph between Calgary and Red Deer. Into a head wind was not a good thing.

My father showed me how to use a blowtorch to heat the oil pan so it would start in winter. Good tip. Didn't die.

1977 Pontiac Astre.

I remember having 6x9 speaker in boxes in the back, and the only thing that kept them from completely flying around was the speaker wire holding them in place. The previous owner had it painted with a bunch of leftover paint, giving it an "off purple" colour.

I'll see if I can find a picture of it.
Edit- here it is:
Spoiler!

86 Hyundai Stellar. A truly horrific automobile. I don't care how good their cars are now. I'll never give them another penny.

I had a '91 mazda 323. Base model that didn't even have a side mirror on the passenger side.

1985 Cavalier with yellow plastic body showing through the blue paint job. Had it until the transmission died in 2002. What a car!

1989 Mustang GT 5 speed. Bought it at 215km, smoked pretty bad when you got on the gas but it was fun.

I think it was a 1970 something Datsun B210. Perfect for jumping and racing around my hometown - indestructible it was.

My Father in Law bought one of those in part to help out a salesman friend when they were first off the boat. A week or two later he took the Stallar into another auto dealer as a trade in, and managed to get more in trade in value than the purchase price of the car, thanks to the dealer having no black book value available on the car.
