Default mexico all-inclusives

Me and my girlfriend are looking for all-inclusives to go to this november. We are wondering where we can find the best deals in mexico or something similar with at least a 4-star rating (As I hear any less is really bad).

We are really hoping to get a really good deal for just $600 a person. Is this possible? The cheapest we found so far is $800 per person. We don't have alot of money so we want the cheapest possible.

Any suggestions or what we might have to do to get the best deal?

Thanks

Keep checking Escapes.ca or some other travel site for last minute deals.

$600 a person is really pushing it for a 4*, I would be surprised if you found that.

Just keep checking expedia.ca daily and hopefully something comes up, good luck!

Try posting the dates you're going in the YYC Travel Junkie thread and maybe someone can help you out with a specific hotel/dates.

Option84 is that you?

Just stop buying pop at the liquor store, and you will be able to afford that 4star hotel with an ocean view balcony.

I've booked as late as 10 days before depature. Had to pick up the tickets from the airport on the day we left. I know others who have left it later than that. If your not picky on location you can usually find something. $600 per person for a 4 star is a pretty high goal. Have you thought about Cuba?

How much money should we expect to spend when we are down there? Do we have to tip all the servers all the time? I'm thinking yes.

You don't have to tip all the time. As anywhere tips can go a long way.

In Cuba things like Toothpaste and Instant Coffee can make the maids really happy. Do some research and you'll figure it out.

It's hard to spend a lot of Money in Cuba. Rum and Cigars are the main things to take back home.

Mexico you can spend more on things to take home but if you want to go on a budget just don't buy anything. Just enjoy the weather and beaches.

Check out Tripadvisor.com. It's great for travel insights on various locations.

I think we have just up'd our budget to $1500 because we can easily get a 4.5 star 7 day all inclusive for that. Yea I plan on tipping $10 bucks a day. Maybe I will take the coffee and stuff like that for tips too.

Google out any resort on 'Debbies Carribean Resorts" + "Resort Name"

Travelzoo.ca is a good deal website

Just curious. On which website are you finding a 4.5* AI for $750 per person in November? Does that include all taxes and fees? We are trying to find something as well but the only thing I can find for under $750 is a 3.5* in Manzanillo. Thanks.

Cuba has great beaches but the food is terrible at every resort unless you go to the Sandals.

If you go take small gifts for kids as tips, crayons, colouring books. The thing they love the most are spark plugs.

Yeah the food is very bland. Take spices with you if you go and franks hot sauce and put that s**t on everything!

X2 We spent a week at Sandals Varadero and it was great even the food was decent. The staff and even people off the resort treat you with respect unlike Mexico where everyone has their hand out for a tip.
