You still need to spend lots of time to watch all of these shows on PVR. You can be wasting tonnes of time. PVRs probably increase TV time for most people, especially new PVR users. HP, you're dismissing the guy's good point. Ha, he probably owns a PVR.

yeah but with the prv you don't get commercials. So for every 4 hours of tv (say one show per night), you can watch all 4 in 3 hours....

Anyone watch Homeland? I thought it had some promise. Plus it had boobies.

Exactly... I still have all of last season of Boardwalk Empire on my PVR, noticed it jumped to the top again the other day, so the 2nd season must have started. When the cold weather hits us again, I'll cruise through those in a week or so I'm sure.

First Look: 'Absolutely Fabulous' returns with Patsy and Edina -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS
http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/10/03/ab...us-first-look/
Ab Fab is back, darlings! As EW reported back in August, the cult British series is returning early next year on BBC America and Logo with a trio of new specials. But you don’t have to wait that long to reunite with the boozy Patsy (Joanna Lumley) and Edina (Jennifer Saunders): EW has the exclusive first look at how the fabulous duo are holding up in the new specials, which marks the first time they’ve reunited since the BBC America comedy Clatterford in 2006.
As you might imagine, despite a teensy-weensy bit of age, Patsy and Edina haven’t changed much at all, as the two exclusive photos we’ve nabbed are classic Ab Fab:

Melissa McCarthy on 'Saturday Night Live' recap: A most fearless host if there ever was one
http://popwatch.ew.com/2011/10/02/me...er%20was%20one
McCarthy, who earned a standing ovation from the audience, was the breath of fresh air that she’s been all year. All in all, a brilliant and daring debut for an SNL newbie.

As far as I can tell, it's not airing in Canada anywhere. Superchannel has a brief mention of it on their website, but nothing on their schedule.
Were they Claire Danes' boobies?

Finally got around to watching the premier of Modern Family, solid episodes and had me laughing quite a few times. Glad they are in fine form right off the bat.
Ultimate comedy crossover episode ever: Modern Family and Arrested Development. I think my head would explode if it ever happened.

I really like her. She's quite hilarious. Easily the best part of Bridesmaid, which was shocking to me because I really enjoy Mya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig. She was great on SNL. Loved her dancing with the balloons. Fantastic.

Anyone else going to to give Terra Nova a second try tonight? I figure I'll give it one more chance, with the second episode not being hindered by having to "layout" everything for the viewer.

Nope. Took it off our PVR series' recordings. Brutal first episode.

I thought the 2nd episode was pretty poor myself.
The season premiere of HOUSE was outstanding, even though Hugh Laurie was the only regular cast member in the episode, proves he IS the show.

It was pretty simplistic and predictable fare . . . . .
I've been finding the whole thing fairly boring.

Totally agree. I'm quite dissapointed, I was expecting a lot more from this show.
