Mar is really starting to extend that lead. If the speculation that Horner supporters will support Redford at a 2-1 ratio is accurate, Mar needs to have about 43-44% of the vote to still take this. He's just under 43 now.

No matter who wins the turnout is pathetic. Looks like there are about 1/2 the votes there were in 2006.

Mar slides back to 41.5% after 58 constituencies counted. That's not enough.

So, correct me if I'm wrong but the polls closed at 7pm?

How the heck does it take 3.5 hours to count <2000 votes?

So does there still need to be a 50% + 1% to win?

Yes. Refer back to the counting of the second choice on Horner's ballots.

As a new young teacher, watching this is just killing me, I dream of the oppurtunity of not having to take a teaching job 4 Hours from my Family because of continuous cuts to funding.

78 of 85 polls

Mar 31042 = 42.95%
Redford 27178 = 37.6%
Horner 14063 = 19.46%

This is gonna be close.

Wow. ~6% difference. Given Horner's 20%, that basically means it's a dead heat in the next runoff assuming a 65/35 split.
