Great last hour of bb on the tube! The Blue Jays choke in 87 was nothing compared to the Braves and the Red Sox this year, but looks good on both arrogant teams.

Wow what a crazy night. So much hate for both those teams I don't know who I was actually cheering for but playoff baseball at the trop sure is a POS.

Gotta think Papelbon will be a goner from fenway now....

Just curious as I don't listen to Rome, but what will he say?

Wow I don't think I'll see another last day of the season like this in the rest of my life. For a season that looked to have the most boring September ever a month ago, things changed fast.

Have to wonder why the Yanks didn't use thier ace closer in the bottom of the 9th. Must be thier way of sticking it to the Red Sox and thier fans.

They don't care, they are already in playoffs. They just wanted to rest certain players, Rivera included.

Somehow I doubt that. They played a part in who they could possibly meet in the second round of the playoffs.

He likes the Sox and Francona, but absolutely loves epic fails. He was all over the Sox today, and wanted exactly what happened tonight: Both Boston and Atlanta lost.

Perhaps. But if you are the Yankees, neither the Sox nor the Rays scare you in the slightest.

Francona might be on the hot seat after this collapse.

I saw a game at the Trop in 2004 against the Giants, with 25k in attendance, and it was alright. It is not a great ballpark at all, but sold out, I could definitely see a fantastic atmosphere for the playoffs.

Very appropriate that both the braves and red sox who had such huge September collapses also collapsed in the 9th innings tonight when it looked like they had their games won.

True. Still i'd rather play a team that choked down the stretch and backed into the playoffs.
