Actually, they were 9 back on September 1. If the Rays win the Wild Card, it would be the biggest September choke in MLB history. If the Red Sox win, the Braves will have that distinction, as I believe they were 8.5 up on September 1.
And the Rays better win their game, because Boston has a huge threat going in the 9th.
