I bet he ends up being some cold infamous secret police butcher in Pinochet's government or something similar.

The last few episodes have really been great, i still don't see the need for the skylar /ted storyline. I find any and all scenes with them to be very uninteresting. I understand that the whole show cant be one shootout after another but i really think the side story lines of the minor characters take away from the show.
The whole thing about liking Walt. I don't think i was a big fan of him from the start but he grew on me, same can be said with Jesse. Throughout the series there been times where i liked one or the other and sometimes both or none. The series for some reason i feel wont end nicely for either main characters.

I share a similar opinion.
Maybe he has Colombian connections too?

Interesting episode. I wasn't sure about Walt near the end. The crying seemed a bit forced, and looked like he was acting. His character has gone so far that I was wondering if he remembered his original M.O. for getting into the cooking business in the first place.
Wonder if Jesse will take the credit for whatever happened to Gus / Mike on his return from Mexico if they both die, and possibly the cartel.

Personally, I don't like the direction they are going with Walt at the moment. He's become too paranoid and irrational. I want to see more Heisenberg and less of Walt wigging out.
I have a feeling that Walt is going to pull something big soon though that puts him back in control.
I didn't pay attention to the teaser for next week. Did it suggest that Walt was going to go into hiding with help from Saul?

Before this season, Jesse was reliant on Walt for a lot of things. Their relationship was mutually dependent to an extent but Jesse needed Walt more than Walt needed Jesse. After the past season, however, it's becoming more clear that Jesse doesn't need Walt as much as he used to (if it all).
It's going to be that much more of a dilemma for Jesse now to choose sides among Gus/Mike and Walt. Imagine how Walt is going to react when he learns that not only has Jesse failed to use his lucky cigarette but he may have actually saved Gus's life.

It's a dark show. I don't think it's going to have an "amends" ending unless it's him taking his last breath asking for forgiveness...
How lame would that be after his spiral down to the hell he has created for himself.

This show has been about Walt's transformation from episode one. He has pretty much done a complete 180. His attitude, morals etc. It's very rare to see a tv character transform the way Walter White has.
I'd be interested in seeing if Walt can get back to where he started. As badass as he is, I wanna see what it takes for him to complete the 360.

The only way I see that happening is he goes all Walker Texas Ranger. It's going to be dark. I'd be interested in a dark 360. That takes some writing.

I said he'd try to make amends.
And I disagree with your characterization that it's a dark show. It definitely has some bad characters, and some bada** people, but Walt isn't not a dark character. Arrogant, short tempered, desperate, yes, but not dark. He's gotten where he is in the story based more on his love of his family and his caring for Jesse than anything else, though lately his aforementioned flaws have him undermining himself.

Walter White is totally a dark character, this whole show is about him turning into a dark character.

Ya the creators have basically said it's a show about Walt's transformation from a chemistry teacher in to Al Pacino in Scarface
I don't think he makes the 360, I think he just gets deeper as the show goes

That's what I am hoping. I don't want to see any feel good redemption. I want to see Walt get Gus's job. I want to see Walt become a throat slashing mob boss.
A lot of the crime families started as honest folks who resorted to extreme means for for financial gain (sometimes out of necessity). I hope the story progesses until Walt is the numero uno meth lord.

I think you guys are going to be sorely disappointed.
His two main scenes last show were a tearful confession that he'd screwed up and a sober tale of how he regretted his last memory of his father was a negative one and wanting to provide better for Walt Jr.
That doesn't speak of a guy on his way to being a throat cutting gangster.

He's never had the constitution for it. At best he's clumsily fumbled his way through this entire ordeal. Earlier this season was full of incidences of Walt struggling to become the "kingpin" he sometimes sees himself as. He's been almost pathetic at times. That's what makes it interesting.

theres 19 episodes left in the series, I really don't think those 19 are going to be spent on Walt's redemption
he had a tearful confession to Walt Jr.
he has proven in the past that he has no problem lying to his family

Yeah, when Gus decided it was time for the Mexican Don to die, he didn't hand the job off to Jesse and then just berate him when it wasn't done. He set up the scene, took the poison himself, and was calm and collected to the end.

not completely, I think he has some regret
but he's pretty much crossed the line, and if he does have some sort of redemption, he's going to do a lot of bad before he gets to it

How many episodes are left this season? Because that felt almost like a season finale.
Wow, Walt is really screwed now. His only choice now it seems is to destroy Gus first.
