Old Dharma hasn't aged well.
And wasn't she on a two part episode as a crazy girl who both brothers wanted to plow?

For the record, I'm not a big fan of the show, but it's got the odd giggle here or there that have me as a casual viewer at best. I will watch until I get tired of Ashton and after one episode, I'm not there yet. It was far from great, but the "worst ever" kind of comments are a tad pre-mature, no?

Good call. I had forgotten that one.
I like how there were rumours Stamos was going to replace Sheen, and he had a cameo as well.

That made me laugh too as they mostly seemed to be poking fun at the premise behind that show with Greg having finally turned into a bitter and depressed old man.

They have re-used girls in the past. The very 1st episode Charlie was hitting on Chelsea in the grocery store, before she was Chelsea.

I noticed that too, but assumed they meant to do that or worked it into the plot. I haven't seen all the episodes and I guess I never saw how they met.

Just saw it on UK tv now.
It was ok - will give it a chance as they had a fair amount to shoehorn in to the episode.

See, there were a few decent parts. I think they should have spent more time on the funeral so it didn't seem so ridiculous, and then filled up the rest of the show with clever cameos. Then they could have used the second episode to introduce Ashton's character, giving that the time it deserved too.
I'm sure that would have been better. But everything was just so rushed it all seemed ridiculous and didn't even have time for good jokes. Maybe it still wouldn't be that great, but that goes back to my original argument that the show and writing has been getting stale for a while anyway.

Far be it from me to defend 2.5 Men, a show I've rarely watched, but...
...I caught it last night due to the curiosity factor, and what you need to keep in mind is that it was only 1/2 an episode, with the second 1/2 to be next week. If you're tossing it out after 1/2 an episode, try to at least watch the second part.
Also - wow, did the kid ever grow up fast!

They should have had the maid take on the role of Charlie as a butch lesbian. She can still bring home the hotties and all guys like lesbians right?

Me too. Mostly because now I just think of Thomas Gibson as Hotch on Criminal Minds where he's always so serious. I forgot he could be funny.

Not bad, not great. Only so much they could touch on in a 1/2 hour.
The nod to Stamos as the once possible replacement and the Dharma and Greg reference was pretty good. After seeing Thomas Gibson play Agent Aaron Hotchner for several years it's a tad hard to remember and recognize his comedic presence.
I'll continue to watch for now.

In the shower, actually. I didn't see much of last season. Did they actually go to paris? Or was that entire thing made up to fit his death in?

I didn't see much of that either. I believe they did show them going, but I don't know if they showed them doing anything there or how anything over the plane ride ended up.
