Manning could play another 6 years at least - would Luck want to sit on the bench that long?

You are right Peters was great, I thought the rest of the line struggled though.
Why did they get rid of Sims? I am not sure how he played for you last year but he was pretty good for the Lions when he was here.

He did stop saying "we" and "us" when referring to the Colts.

Can the Jets just pick a name and colors FFS. I didn't think it was possible for me to hate that team more, but then they insisted on being two teams for eternity. How many f'in years are you scumbags going to trot out the Titans look for? You are the Jets, stick with that. More than 4 letters is outside of the range of 90% of your fanbase anyways.

Fair enough. I typically tend to think that there is enough of a turn over in a season when you take into account the amount of injuriews that typically happen in an NFL season.
However for arguements sake, I think the Bears belong ahead of both the Ravens and the Steelers at this point

I had them right behind them, but question at this point if Cutler is going to last getting mauled all season.

Love the irrational Jets hate. Do you get equally as mad when almost every other team trots out their old uniforms and colors?
At least after making the AFC championship game 2 years in a row I don't have to listen to everyone say how overrated they are on here.

Not sure why.
That O-Line is in tatters and when that happens you need a mature QB who know how to help them in a variety of ways...something Jay Cutler and his incessant pouting/whining/moaning simply doesn't provide. The Bears are on the precipice of a large freefall me thinks.
We will know more after the Packer game. I can assure you Dom capers will be finding ways to expolit that line and abuse them like a red-headed stepchild....but with a suddenly weakened secondary Cutler will have a chance to be the man or keep up the childish antics...his decision.

Almost every other team? What other teams have been riding a different jersey and name combo for what, 3 years? Any?
And the hate isn't irrational. I'm exposed to scum Jets fans every day (as well as some non-scum ones). I've hated that team and organization as long as I can remember, adding the class of Ryan was all too fitting.

What would you expect Cutler to do exactly? This is a QB who was sacked over 50 times last season, I believe ten more times then the next QB,and still too the Bears to the NFC championship game with a receiving core of Hester, Knox and Olsen.
Aaron Rodgers couldn't have led the Bears any further then they went last year. Far too much blame gets laid at the feet of Cutler when in reality he keeps the teams' hed above water. However I will agree that the team is likely about to take a nosedive to 3rd in the division until they can get a suitable line and some youth at linebacker with Briggs likely on the way out.
Regarding my statement about the Bear's being ahead of the Steelers and Ravens, I was measuring the teams on a power ranking scale. Tsaking last year's performance and the teams' performances so far this year into account you would have a hard time proving me wrong. The Bears the Falcons, the NFC's top record last year and lost to an obvious good team in New Orleans. The offensive line is shaky, but as of yesterday they only hand 2/5 starters playing on the line which didn't help things.

Not go and stand alone like a spoiled brat? The guy simply doesn't get it. You win and lose as a TEAM...something that i believe he still hasnt grasped. I have no doubt he is frustrated with getting clobbered repeatedly...but i ask you how behaving like a petulant child is going to increase the chances of it stopping when those who need to be better are all on that same sideline watching him act that way and feeling completely embarrassed by it?
Yes he gets blamed for a lot, but some of it is completely earned as well. Some of it isnt and that includes him pulling himself from the NFC Championship game...if he was injured and i have no reason to believe that he wasnt, then he did the right thing there. However, yesterdays behaviour combined with his history of histrionics suggests to me that he has little interest in being part of the solution but rather is much happier whining and pointing fingers.
Good luck with that stuff when it comes time to try and lead the team when needed. It just wont fly with the guys in front of him and its why i suggest that the team is in a real fragile spot right now.

I won't argue the he has a tendancy to pout, but not once has he pointed a finger at another teammate. Hell, that's half the reason he sits off to the side, so he doesn't flip out on his Oline when he's sacked twice in a series.
Cutler is a good teammate and offensive leader as said time and time again by players and coaches but just because he has to seperate himself from his team in order to hit the reset button means nothing.

Titans wore Oilers jerseys which is worse in my opinion since Bud Adams is the owner who took the Oilers away from Houston. It's just an homage to their history and I don't see anything wrong with it. Almost every team in the league wears throwbacks from time to time.

Yeah, but there's typically an occasion. The Jets wear those jerseys a few times a year for no discernible reason. It's like the Habs 100th season stretching out over 2 years. It's stops being an homage to history and starts being just plain stupid.

I still can't believe the Falcons came back to win that one, ugh. Between them & Tampa Bay, it looked like the Saints would be first in the South by today, 2 big comebacks. Falcons shouldn't have even been in that game but Eagles mistakes (especially at the end of the 1st half) kept them hanging around, & then Matt Ryan made them pay. Man I hate the Falcons..
And I knew McCoy was good, but I didn't know he was that good. He kinda reminds me of Reggie Bush during his Saints days (right down to the #), just a little less athletic and with way better vision/decision making. If Bush had turned into LeSean McCoy I would've been very happy.

Obviously the Jets wanted to celebrate their long lasting rivalry with the Jags.

Packers lose Pro Bowl S Nick Collins for the year with that frightening neck injury he suffered yesterday....thats a huge huge hit for the boys from GB....ugh. This on top of losing PB Corner Tramon Williams for yesterdays game and who knows how much longer with a shoulder injury. Its like last year all over again only this time i dont think they can continually find guys to just plug in and keep rolling.

Pretty powerful story about Jason Brown. Couldn't imagine going through anything like that
