No freezing for me on PS3, liking the game a lot even though I kinda suck at goal scoring.

I am a little pissed at the two trapezoid penalties I got tonight, the goalie grabs the puck right next the line and as soon as you move at all he spins outside and gets the penalty.

So whats the verdict? Is it worth picking up? I got bored to tears of NHL11 and sold it in the summer, so I'm worried I'll pay $60 for a game that will start to collect dust in a few weeks.

I may just save my dollars for FIFA this year.

Unfortunately that may be more of an NHL problem then an EA problem based on what I've heard. NHL has to give approval for jerseys in game and apparently since it was only worn once ever, EA doesn't have permission to include it in the game. (Don't know if that means they can't ask/appeal to gain the rights though)

hey jobo, do you have any insight on if/when the EA team is going to patch the freezing issues in the game?

Also, do you know why my connection to xbox live is perfectly fine playing online vs, or online hut, but if i'm offline in a tournament, my connection drops 1 in every 3 games, causing me to lose the game, get eliminated from the tournament, and burn 1 game off everyone of my roster players' contracts??

I am far happier with this game than I was at this point last year. It took me a long time to get my settings to the point that I was happy, but so far this year I'm very pleased with how everything feels. Scrums in front of the net are great and the fact that the players actively try to stay onside has kept many offensive attacks alive that would have resulted in a whistle in previous games.

I also realized last night that you can view any goal, hit or shot from the action tracker graphic in the pause menu. You can quick view it or you can enter the actual replay to get a better look or record it. I was really impressed.

Ive noticed that feature but haven't been able to figure it out, but then again, I haven't really tried. How do you quick view?

I am enjoying it though, wish I could figure out shootouts/breakaways though. Went about 12 shooters each before one of us could score a goal.

Use the right stick to move the focus point around the ice diagram and hit triangle (or whatever the top, centre button is on 360) to view.

I'm impressed with the new action tracker too. Wasn't sure if it was actually new at first or I had just not realized you could do that in 11. I play a lot online and the worst part of 11 was only being able to view/save the last replay.

You can also sort by period and type of play. Goals/hits/saves. Although it thought a light bump by Iggy on Eberle was a huge hit.

i'm off (wisdom teeth removed) so have been playing a lot of the game. I have yet to be able to turn off the game naturally.

each time i'm playing my season, it will freeze as i try to sim the next game.

OR

I lose connection to EA (while playing offline hut tournament mind you).

This game sucks until they can fix the freezing and connectivity issue.

Confirmed. Just picked up my copy from the Blockbuster in Beddington. 40% off came to $37.79 after tax.

They had several copies for both Xbox and PS3

So does anyone know about junior players in be a gm? Is it realistic in that I can keep a junior player for less than nine games and have it not burn a year of the contract?
