He's what I think Ramsey needs to be. I'd love to see Gotze in the red and white, he brings what we've lost over the summer. Unfortunatly, they have a great project going on in Dortmund and he'll probably be grabbing the attention of the plastic clubs.

Dortmund gladly accepted and nearly got the win.

It may be a long, bumpy road but I think the lads are on the road to recovery. I just hope a recovered Arsenal will be good enough.

SAF treating the press like crap is nothing unusual at all. What was the question and answer if you can recall? I can't find any mention of it or video.
Without any context I can see it being perceived as a dumb and leading question (wanting to go at confidence in De Gea etc) when you look at the starting 11 compared to this year's league matches. It would seem pretty obvious that he was giving lots of (previous) starters a day off considering the run of fixtures they have coming up. Why single out De Gea?

Not really. Fabio, Carrick, Fletcher, Giggs, Valencia, and Park all had their first starts today (7 of 11 total including De Gea) - why not give the kid a rest? They have matches on the 18th, 20th, 24th, and 27th and 1st coming up.

The only reason I could see to single out De Gea is that goalkeepers aren't usually the first players that come to mind when you think of who might need rest.

I can see this being the case as well. As I didn't see it, SAF could totally be in the wrong but it's not like the British media are a bunch of innocent children being bullied.

Sir Alex Ferguson reacted angrily to questions on TV about why he replaced goalkeeper David de Gea with Anders Lindegaard for Manchester United's Champions League game in Benfica.
Lindegaard played a starring role in the 1-1 draw after being drafted in to replace his Spanish team-mate.
Asked about the decision by ITV interviewer Kelly Cates - daughter of Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish - Ferguson snapped: 'David de Gea will play on Sunday against Chelsea.
'That was the understanding we had before the game, and it doesn't change. I don't know why you ask these questions, you're just looking for stupid little things.

Okay, I watched the Fergie interview, much ado about nothing.
He actually answered the question rather politely by Fergie's standards, he just had a short little outburst afterwards, but it wasnt anything really rude.
Ronaldo? Whining? Couldnt be! He would never do that.

Was that really whining? I'm by no means his biggest fan and hate his whinging but I have to admit, that was a great response. Well played Mr. Ronaldo!

That was truly a great response to being asked why you are being booed. Not sure why people seem to be offended by that response.

First of all, their effort at defending there was much better than it has been. I think they transplanted Vermaelen's heart into Koscielny. He was a completely different player. And the addition of Mertesacker seems to be going very well thus far.
As for Gotze. Germany really has an embarrassment of riches in central midfield now with Ozil, Gotze, Kedira and Schweinsteiger. It will be very interesting to see how they use this kid and how he improves going forward.
As for potential destinations, well, much like most Germany Internationals he'll probably wind up at Bayern before too long, but pretty well any top flight club would love to have him. That said, Dortmund have put together a very intriguing product, and he might be enticed to stay. It does happen.
That said though, Dortmund effectively dominated Arsenal, outside of the very well worked goal Arsenal really didnt have much in the way of sustained pressure and really didnt trouble Wiedenfeller. They were doing a lot of defending and that game could have gone south for them in a hurry.
Sceszny made some very good saves that could have sunk Arsenal pretty badly. Flapianski is still second choice right?

You know, if Mario Balotelli had said it I'd probably laugh it off as delusions of grandeur. Coming from Ronaldo though, I dont know, I just dont envision him having much of a sense of humour.

Not offended. Just kind of indifferent. Its either Ronaldo whinging or being arrogant. Either one elicits a kind of 'Ronaldo being Ronaldo' kind of shrug.
Also, I thought that the response was directed at the referee for 'allowing' Zagreb to foul him? I dont know why they'd be booing him....'we wanted more goals!!' Its your team? You want him light up the team you cheer for?

Ronaldo wasn't going for clever there. That was Ronaldo being Ronadlo, an arrogant jerk. The stuff he said might be true, but he shouldn't be saying them. He could have handled the question with class and dignity, but let's be honest, that's not really his style.
If he weren't Portuguese, I would despise him like no other.
