What she did was deplorable, but she's the one who has to live with knowing her parents and brother won't be there to see her graduate from MRU in a couple of years, and that she is the one responsible for that. And it doesn't stop there. Birthdays, holidays, weddings, births of children, anniversaries. You name it.
She's living her own punishment.

I fully endorse the murdering of clowns.
There should be more clown murders and fewer 8 yeard old brother murders.

Tough call - kids are pliable at that age. A 23 year old boyfriend she probably idolized and I'm guessing a steady steam of drugs, she obviously would have done anything for this guy.
Like someone said above - the fact she wants to go to school and further herself rather than just go free and party says something about her rehabilitation.

How often do I lay awake at night wondering how I will afford
for my own daughter to go to university - every night.

But yeah, 12 or not, this chick is a fataing psycho. I'm not sure what the right thing to do with her is exactly. Maybe the government could employ her in a Northern outpost to keep an eye on our border with Russia or something.

Hmmm yeah, I don't know...at first I read the thread and thought, maybe the girl was manipulated, but then I read the article and think that maybe they should just put her to sleep.
I mean, how do you plot to kill your family with a stranger? Most 12 year old girls don't think of that and if they do, well there's something wrong with them. Was she just young and dumb and stupid? Well her straight A's suggest that she's not an idiot.
I'm all for rehabilitation and i've met many young people who have done stupid things in their lives and have served time in jail. I'd readily accept these people in my life and in my work and to hang out with my friends and my family. BUT I would not let this girl anywhere near me or the people I cared about.
She killed her parents and her little baby brother! I don't know how you repair that brain of hers.
