Wait till guys you remember being drafted start retiring.....like Cory Stillman did earlier this summer. That one kind of stung.

This thread makes me feel waaaay younger! I never realized how old some of you are! To celebrate this discovery I'm going to get my wife to stop by 7/11 on the way home so I can get some 5cent candies and a large slurpee.

Oh how we laughed.
I've got a weird old Star Wars magazine where it has a "first look" at Jedi - and all through it it is called Revenge of the Jedi. I suspect the magazine is probably worth some $$$ but its beat to hell.

They used to cost a penny and a large slurpee was a quarter.

So what you're saying is that you had a huge interest in Carrie Fisher, poor magazine.

When I was a kid, I used to own these Transformers and Silverhawk sticker books where the stickers were like trading cards. It was such a pain trying to complete the damn books.

I think they are called Panini books, they were very addictive to collect as a kid.

My 15-year-old daughter put up a picture in her room of me holding her right after she was born. I was 19 at the time. I was flabbergasted at the young punk in that pic that used to be me. So skinny, so much more hair. But that young punk had no idea how awesome his next 15 years were going to be!

And that's the thing I keep discovering about getting older... life does keep getting better, as long as you hang onto your health.

When I was at a pub a girl comes up to me and asks if I'm Dave. I look at her confused on how she knows who I am and at 1st I had no idea who she was. She then tells me who she is and how she knew me. I used to work at a place that did summer camps and stuff for kids. She was one of the kids.

And yes she was pretty hot(when I saw her at the pub...not at the camps, perverts)

Just did the math. I am the same age as Lanny McDonald when he retired. He seemed like an old man to me at the time.

Imagine how I feel, a member of the Blackhawks tried it on with my daughter this summer, she slapped him, which was cool, although I have to admit to thinking what it would be like to be a millionaire hockey players father in law when I found out.

Working with people who haven't ever played Super Mario 3. That game was epic and life-changing.. just like the original Star Wars trilogy!
