How about strip mall computer stores? There is one in the strip mall by the Canadian Tire off Richmond Road that has boxes of parts from about 1999 in the front windows still. We are convinced that that store is actually a front for a money laundering scheme or something.
Deerfoot mall is still around because Cross Iron Mills is a crap mall. The only good store in there is the bass pro shop. If they made the mall a bit better Deerfoot would be outta here faster than Franklin Mall.

In a similar vein - Kelseys. It is like the most mediocre of mediocre restaurants. Who is going there?

Marlborough mall is the perfect location to knock down and replace with low-income housing. Sunridge mall is becoming obsolete due to cross iron mills as well. I always wondered how a store like Northern Reflections stays in business. P.S. the Bonanza in Regina was terrible, totally ruined my childhood memories of that glorious restaurant!

Ardene, Dollar Stores (any/ all) how do they pay wages nevermind a lease and turn a profit. Oh and Zellers was another one but I guess that is going to be changing. Sears and the Bay have been struggling for years they gotta be next.

Volume. If you look at Dollartree (A Fortune 500 Company) in the States or even Dollarama here in Canada it is a very profitable business. In the States they are taking a lot of business from Wallmart as people are shopping down. It is a big trend and even companies like Staples are now touting out dollar items etc. to try to get people back in the stores. Besides, everyone shops like they are a millionaire when they are in a dollar store and it makes people feel good

The Sony Store.

Why not just goto best buy or futureshop and see all the sony products PLUS other brands too.

and it's not like they are cheaper than other places. in fact its more expensive most times.

I agree yet as a money maker it should be gold. Their staff usually consits of what? 2 waitresses, two cooks, one guy who fills the s*** up and a manager. Their is no prep work, no real chef, no receipes(no consistency), no food sent back. It's really a win win for the franchisee.

Haha funny story, when I used to freelanced I'd have client meetings at the Second Cup in Westhills... because the Starbucks was always packed to the gills and I knew we'd always get a table at Second Cup.
