Peyton_Manning to miss the first week of the season for sure. Might shed some light into the who's more valuable to his team arguement between him and Tom Brady.
The whole Colts team is built around Manning running that offence, getting a lead, and making their opponent throw the ball to play catch up. They can win other ways, but any time a team can keep the game low scoring and run the ball against them the Colts are a far, far less effective team.
As I said earlier, they can maybe afford 3 games without him, but say he misses 4 and the team goes 1-3...they'll need to be 9-3 in the games he does play which is doable. But will 10 wins get them to the playoffs?
I have Manning in two fantasy leagues...but really if he misses 2-3 games is that so bad....if the Colts have to win down the stretch there will be no sitting of starters so Manning should be firing on all cylinders come the playoff weeks.

Knowing that Manning will be out for at least one game, and seeing Collins more or less suck during his pre-season time, you would have to think that the Colts would at least be kicking the tires on Garrard in case Manning has to miss significant time, or to give him a bit more time to recover

Anyone know what site I can go to to get in depth odds on everything NFL. Like odds on who will win each division, etc. I'm thinking of putting down money on the Texans winning the AFC south. I think those odds would be pretty good especially if Manning misses significant time.

Most of the sportsbooks have taken down the AFC South bets because of Manning's uncertainty. The bookies aren't dumb.

Yeah I just feel like Green is going to get targeted more often because of lack of other options and Dalton has already shown he like Green as his favorite target.

I will probably be benching Reggie Wayne because of this news. Yuck.

I'd still start him. Gonzo is injured and Collie has a bad foot. Collins likes to throw the deep ball and it will be to Reggie or Garcon.

Yeah, I'm still starting Dallas Clark because Houston was a horrid pass defense, and this is their first real test with a 3-4 defense. There will be breakdowns somewhere in that D on Sunday. My other worry is Arian Foster....I only have him on all three of my teams.

Have to start 2 out of these....Wayne, Floyd, Amendola, Jordy Nelson.
I'm thinking Wayne and Floyd.

If Manning is out for 3 games and you have Foster at less than 100% you're not going to be around come playoff time barring some waiver wire miracles.
