Former Jay Zach Stewart has a perfect game going into the bottom of the 7th.

Ended up being a 1 hit complete game shutout, pretty impressive.

I turned the game on and the first batter I see him face gets a double. That happened to me earlier this year too. As soon as I find out about a guy pitching a no-no or perfect game I change the channel only to see him lose it right away.

I'm really surprised at Drabek being recalled. I'd keep him down for another year to build himself up. As for Loewen, I wish the best for him, but his lower body strength screems career minor leaguer. I'm still curious to see what he can do though.

AAA season is over, recalling Drabek is good idea just to build the guy's confidence level.

As for Loewen he had a really good season at AAA, he deserved a chance. Will be interesting to see him.

Jays recalled Chad Mottola.

Strange to see a coach get recalled. Hopefully he's our hitting coach next year.

Awesome ending to the game, great to see Loewen's first hit, nice patience to get walks in the 8th, and then Encarnacion being clutch again.

So seeing as Las Vegas's season is over and Snider was not called up, does that mean there is no chance for Snider to be called up for the rest of the season?

You can never, ever count out the Sox, they always make it interesting. I love their never say die attitude. Good win for the Jays, albeit meaningless from their perspective...and how about the game from Cooper!

Mcgowans start wasn't too great, although far from a disaster too. Adam Loewen gets his first career home run though. Jays have to be leading the majors for most home runs by rookies.

Just a quick calculation from MLB.com I have Thames, Lawrie and Arencibia with 41 HRs, next closest is Washington with Ramos and Espinosa combining for 31 HRs. So I would have to say you're right.

If Lawrie gets another HR I think that would be the first time ever the Jays had three rookies hit 10 HRs in a season, I think Buck said that in a recent Jays game.

Oh and minor league Jays news from the west coast. Their A affiliate, the Vancouver Canadians, won the Northwest League Championship yesterday afternoon.

Apparently the winning run dove into homeplate.

Need to see more of Loewen, should not be playing Wise/McCoy in CF at all and when Rasmus is back, put Loewen in LF, platoon with Thames.

This team is full of quality rookie bats, going to be an exciting team to watch for years to come!
