Quite sad really. For most people, it wont make a difference and they will drop the cash on it. And I'm sure in some cases, double, triple dipping, etc. Lucas will make more money, thus validating his decisions.

To each their own I guess, but for me I'll only spend money on the 'original' original trilogy.

So you bought the 'orignal' original trilogy DVDs?

Maybe not being drunk was what I did wrong.

Don't understand a Wookie all you want. Just don't upset them, it's not wise.

Turf all three prequels, and put the original cuts of the first three films, and maybe I will purchase.
Sadly when they restored (that is completely revised while repairing the unintentionally damaged film), it meant the end of the original negative to copy from. Now all we have to go by is the old pre-special edition VHS (like me) or laserdisc if you are lucky.

I gave up on all things Lucas a long time ago. For example, even LucasArts' games really began to suck around the time of the special edition releases.

Was going to get it till I heard about the new changes (would've stomached the old special editions).

My money may be a drop in the bucket but it's the only way I can make a difference. Vader screaming Nooooo in the climactic conclusion in ROTJ? Screw you Lucas.

^^^ agreed. People buying this stuff just continue to encourage Lucas in his mindset that he's improving something.

He's like Michael Jackson was with the cosmetic surgery.

Honestly there are certain things about the prequels that I really really liked. It was sad to me that there were one or two moments in each movie that really hurt the movies.

But I gave up expecting perfection from movies a long time ago.
