Default Panthers acquire Ales Hemsky

(Derp)

In a trade with the Phoenix Coyotes, the Panthers have landed their new 1st line RW.

Here's how the deal breaks down.

To Florida

Ales Hemsky
4th round pick (PHX)
3.9 Million in cap

To Phoenix

Eric Fehr
1st round pick (FLA)
3rd round pick (PHX)

I am really against moving 1sts in a trade, but this trade makes my team better for this season, and hopefully moving forward.

Thanks for the talks.

It's been approved, the players are on their new rosters.

Ok, sounds good!

Thanks for the trade talks.

From my point of view, I like to have draft picks and I didnt have any in the first three rounds this year, so getting a 1st and a 3rd was nice. Im also expecting Fehr to have a solid year.

Very interesting deal for both GMs. This deal has potential to be really beneficial and a total bust for both teams.

Good work!

Few GMs get their first deal actually approved so kudos on that!

Good deal for both sides. I think the Florida 1st has some really nice potential.

Hemsky obviously helps lower that 1st, but its still nice to have.

Good job guys.

I'm not really concerned because Hemsky is still an RFA aged player, and when healthy is a top line guy in my opinion. With Regehr out of the picture, he stands a better shot at remaining healthy.

I think my team will be in the 12-20 range overall, which I'm comfortable with dealing a pick there for him.

I'm also not done yet.....

Not a big fan of this deal for the Yotes. I actually think Florida will surprise a few people this year and make the playoffs, that roster has come a long way in a year making the 1st less attractive.

If I was the Yotes I would have taken the Sharks offer!

Interested to see how Hemsky sims this season (specifically how many games he plays) His endurance and durability ratings scared me off...

Good deal gents.
