Draft full rosters and put em in NHL 12 and see how it turns out, if we're not doing full roster then its a waste.
I like the idea of the simulation if someone wants to put in the time. I would but I doubt I will get NHL 12. I mean it would take time to get all the rosters done, but once the game comes out someone could start getting the teams ready as we go along here.
Or another thing I suggested earlier was enter all our teams on the ESPN site and do a rotissiere pool. We could count G,A,P,+/-,PP,SHP etc. That way its not just all points and someone like Toews would be a valuable pick at #3.
It is just for fun after all and after the effort some of us are putting into this thing I wouldn't mind doing something with the rosters after all is said and done.
It'll be interesting to see what everyone has to say about the final rosters here, before the season starts, compared with after the season is over.
Some rosters might look a little week with some good, but unproven rookies, now, but at the end of the season, some of these kids may have cemented themselves as genuine difference makers.
That's half the fun, like last year in seeing Claude Giroux turn into the star he did.

I like this idea, to me it would provide us alot more fun then just simulating a season on NHL 12.

This brings up an interesting point here, because this was always a dream of mine.
If I was rich enough to purchase a team (Lets just say right now as I'm 24),
I could technically put myself on the team and become an NHLer that way no?
Well I wanted Cammy, so you just might have to step up on my first line jerk!

With the way people are going about drafting their pool this way would be the best. If it's just an NHL simulation Luongo would be one of the best goalies and the whole simulation would be done in one day. It would also take the guy creating the rosters alot of work.
The hockey pool way would only take people a few minutes to sign up for ESPN if they haven't already and then put players on their team as we go along.
I'm not going to pick my team based on points, though... I mapped out which characteristics I want at each position and I'm attempting to draft my 'Dream Team' for the NHL, so I don't much care if we convert it to a pool, as I won't really care about it as its not my objective. A simulation would be really cool, though someone would have some work to do.

Nah, there are still a few top goalies, imo at least.
But you're right, lots of good young guys who will probably prove their worth this season.
No names of course!
Good pick Girly, I had Grabner on my radar and hoping he'd fall to me.
