Default Non-region 1 DVDs

I have several DVD purchased overseas. They played perfectly in my all region code DVD player. Problem is the DVD player died.

Is there a way to back-up the DVDs so they can play on my region A bluray player?

What is the best software for backing up DVDs?

Rip the DVD to your computer, use many of the hundreds of DVD rippers out there. DVD Decrypter is the oldest and original and it removes the region encoding and you can reburn the disc.

Or just get another region free DVD player, they should be cheap as dirt.
