Wow, Green is in 2nd. Anders is turning off a lot of people in Calgary West. Why won't the CONs remove him?
And if I can be picky for a moment, can the CON graph be blue, the Liberals red, NDP orange, Green green etc.?

A chimp would win in a landslide in Calgary West. Actually, the chimp would get more votes than Anders. Anders is an embarrasment to his party, and they should do the right thing: Rob, you're fired.

Hopefully Anders will embarass himself enough with the Conservatives in government that Harper won't have a choice but to remove him (see: Parrish, Carolyn)
Now it's Albertan voters who are looking like sheep, rather than Ontarians.

David Mulroney, Liberal.
The Liberals hope to get two out of the three Victoria seats. Esquimalt/Juan de Fuca will most likely be won by Liberal Dr. Keith Martin (ran for the Tory leadership). Saanich/Gulf Islands will be won by the Conservative dink Gary Lunn, with the left vote being chopped between the Libs and Green. And the riding of Victoria will be a close one between Liberal David Mulroney and New Democrat Denise Savoie. A month ago the NDP was to take this riding no contest. Now it's very close.
A lot of people around here have the attitiude "ABH". Anybody but Harper.
Harper's neo-con agenda doesn't fly out here in my riding.

I think Rob will get beat up in a Harper caucus, but there is no way they could turn him loose before the election. The conservatives needed a unified front, and had to prevent any in fighting. After Canadians have voted perhaps you'll see the Rob Anders' of the world get pushed to the back bench...
that, or he'll be rewarded for keeping a low profile during the election.

A pet board I frequent has the same poll up . . . . . and the NDP are leading by a long shot, close to majority government territory. Pretty funny.
My brother had Paul Martin run up to him in Vancouver yesterday . . . . . it happened so suddenly in the fog of 8 in the morning that all he could blurt out while shaking his hand was "Mornin' Paul." Not to fast on his feet for an Alberta boy.

While I don't agree completely with the Conservative Platform, but I think the liberals have run they're course much like the PC's in the early 90's. Its time for a change. As for the liberals wasting our money, AD-scam was brutal, but the one that ****es me of more is the 2 BILLION wasted on a gun control program that doesn't work. I will be very happily voting for the Conservatives, and honestly will until a party comes out with a Platform to turn Canada in to a Republic with a US Style government. We need an elected head of government people, an elected senate, its called checks and balances!!!!

wow if it was up to the people of CP, Harper would have what the largest majority in Canadian history. What was Molruney's popular vote in the early 80's?

I remember because the student teacher who was marking my essay in Poly Sci marked it wrong when I said that no leader in recent memory get in with the majority support. I had to bring in several resources to prove myself right.

Anders is a piece of crap. I currently have 28 people in Calgary West not voting for Anders. I am voting for the Liberals since the markets are going to dip with a Conservative government. But i don't really care who wins in our riding as long as it's not Anders.
I think the only reason why Anders is still in the PC party is because him and Harper have this crazy Reform sex pact. hehe

Conservative...I see my values leaning more towards them..even though Maritimers were called a "culture of defeat that we have to overcome"..it's time for a change in Ottawa..and it just might be a landslide

I have already voted in the advance poll for Lee Richardson, Tory candidate for Calgary Centre.

Pure Anders. This is what his own supporters think of him. Article is about the guys running the voteoutanders website.
Kertzer’s opinion still faces opposition from some Calgary West voters, one of whom, who asked she remain anonymous because of her affiliation with the Conservative party, said she’ll vote for Anders solely because he won’t be allowed to speak up.
“Most of the people in the community are embarrassed that Rob is our candidate, but running as a Conservative, he’s unbeatable,” she said. “I’m a Conservative, but I hate the idea of voting for that guy.
“I seriously debated defacing my ballot, but now that the Conservatives stand a chance, I’ll vote for Anders,” she said. “I’ve never seen him having any influence, and I want the Conservatives in power.

Well, I'm fairly sure that Anders vetoed the Mandela citizenship because he believe Mandela was a terrorist. Would you take a call from someone you thought was a terrorist?

Thats a strange thing to say. The Conservatives are pro-business. They are for bank mergers. They will cut capital gains taxes which should stimulate savings and investment. They are not the ones advocating the use of oil & gas as a trump card in the softwood lumber dispute. If anything, they are more likely to have good relations with the Bush administration to help resolve trade disputes. All around, they will good for the markets, save short term volatility during a transition period.
