As expected it was a high scoring game between the Stampeders and Alouettes. Two of the best QB in the CFL did not disappoint their fans. Burris passed for 26/42 with 422 yards run for 1 TD and tossed 3 TD passes (2 for Forzani and 1 for Rambo). Calvillo 28/49 369 yards and tossed for 3 TDs but threw 1 INT late in the game. It was pretty much mistakes-free for both QB.

Three receivers for Stampeders caught over 100 yards. Johnnie Forzani had a monster game. He caught 6 passes for 101 yards and 2 TDs, Nik "Geronimo" Lewis also had a monster game caught 7 for 121 yards and Ken-Yon Rambo 5/111 1 TD.

Defense made some adjustments in the 2nd half and did a good job stopping Calvillo especially in the 3rd quarter. Calvillo targeted LB Brandon Isaac early in the game matching against Jamel Richardson. We didn't really see Calvillo throwing the ball against Brandon Smith, Greg Fassit or Geoff Tisdale much. It was mostly against Isaac and Raymond. Overall, the defense just did enough to help the Stamps win the game.

It was an exciting game to watch.

A few bad penalties could have cost CGY the game.

Nik Lewis was a handful.

Anyone that called Johnny Forzani, "Johnny Feterik", owes the kid a apology. He makes plays and will only get better.

Neither team really wanted to run the ball.

Stamps > Bombers

Maver has likely lost his job.

Forzani 101 yds 2 TD has my vote for Canadian POW.
Nik Lewis as a reciever is once again the football definition of warrior!

Awesome day at Mcmahon. Glad to see Dickenson abandon the run game as soon as you see Dwight Anderson on the field. Every play should be a pass when he is out there! the guy is pure garbage.

It was nice to see Burris have two very good back-to-back games.

I'm glad I got to see this one in person. What an awesome game! Gotta love Forzani and Lewis' play today. Lots of fun to see them at work.

Got to also give kudos to the streaker for outrunning security for so long. He made a nice fake after running the length of field.

I think the Stamps lineup is getting better and better. The Offensive Line is starting to gel together and those are the reason for Burris having a back-to-back awesome game. Burris been getting lots of time now in the pocket and I really think the Stamps finally found Left Tackle that will protect Burris' blind side in Tony Washington. Yes, I agreed he ruined one drive with a couple of penalties and almost ruined the other one with putting his hand on DLine's face BUT the guy is playing 25 times better than Gerald Cadogan.
As for the receivers, almost everyone is clicking right now. Henry Burris added a couple of arsenals on his passing game with 2 Canadian receivers in Johnnie Forzani and Jabari Arthur. I am not sure if Arjei Franklin will still have a spot for this team which i don't mind. Nik Lewis been consistent all season and he is very reliable. When you need a first down, who you gonna call? NikBUSTER!! Ken-Yon Rambo struggled a bit early in the season is now starting to pick up. He had an awesome game vs Als. We just need to have Romby Bryant to start clicking. Bryant has been the forgotten man so far this season. RB Joffrey Reynolds and Jon Cornish probably run less this season but they are still contributing with their blocking and occasional receiving duties. I think with offense and defense starting to pick up. Special team is consistent and it seems that Hufnagel might have a hard time telling one of Maver and Paredes their work is no longer needed.

Burris is a mystery to me, I have never seen a QB so ying and yang. Burris had possably his worst QB performance as a Stampeder in the first half. He either over threw his recievers or under threw them. Couldn't get out of the pocket with any kind of ellusiveness.
From what TSN reported he had 19yds at 1/2 time.

Burris in the second 1/2 goes wild slipping tackles finding open recievers. Making difficult throws and puts up an astonishing 422yds passing to finish the game. Which was his 3rd or 4th highest total in his career.

Burris was shaky no doubt, but the O-Line did him no favors either. It wasn't just one either he was getting pressure from everyone and often there wasn't even a pocket he could scramble out of. O-LIne got it together better in the 2nd half but man were they shaky in the first.

To be fair, Burris had no time many times in the first half, and Calvillo was completing every pass. The trenches got dominated by Montreal, it was bad.

To our credit our coaches made adjustments, and our players just plain manned up and worked harder.

Here's a clip of Lewis mocking Anderson if anyone was looking for it.
