i would say any vancouver fan that mysteriously disappeared is taking a leave-of-abscence but will return upon the beginning of training camp.

I agree, but not for the same reason. I used to come on CP for years before I joined and was pretty pissed when people made fun of the guy's spelling/grammar.

All I could picture was this older man who loved his Calgary Flames, so he'd go to the practices/training camp and loved telling CP what happened and what he saw.

Yet, some of you a-holes had to make fun of the guy. Now, we don't have many people who actually go to the practices and training camp and tell everyone what they see.

If thefanblogger is still around reading and not posting, you should start posting again.

The problem with TFB is that he made up most of what he saw. Other members from CP who were at the same practices can vouch for that.

His spelling wasn't an issue for me. My issue is that he lies and makes up false rumors.

For instance, look at his latest gem.

Jason Pominville and Andrej Sekera for Rene Bourque and Brendan Morrison
http://hockeyindependent.com/blog/randy-workman/37950/

Another beauty of his that he made up a rumor that Dion requested a trade out of Calgary which was false.

Foxmulder91. I went at it with him a couple times over PM and during his short stint in our hockey league

I wonder is he's back under another name, and smart enough this time to not end it with 91

I have met Mad Mel personally, and he is a good dude, even if he is Canuck fan. He comes here because it is the best message board out there. Believe me if there were a better one, he'd be at it. He is not a Flames fan at all. We have had our disagreements, especially on other sites, but it is also in fun and never personal. Plus, dude can absolutely CRUSH beers, so there's that.

He gets a bad rap because he is a Canucks fan, but he is down to earth and never attacks someone. I don't blame him for not being here after the Canucks lost as some of the mouth breathers here (few and far between I will say) would have be complete jackwads to him, undeservedly.

I'm pretty sure English is Netminder's second language. IIRC he's Asian.
