Why not have everyone play? What's the reason behind it? What good comes from it?
When Nakomis did the six finger plan, which was genius at the time, it opened a can of worms that I think CBS needs to change.
As much as I dislike Brendon, it just seems sorta unfair that some people have two chances to fight for their place in the house per week(HOH and Veto) and some only get one.

I have to disagree here, cant really complain about someone being shown the "back door". Adam won the veto and she put up Brendon, its really only a back door if she the hoh or there partners win it take someone off and then back door someone.

No, it wasn't the true back door as the Nakomis plan on Jase, but it still has the elements.
Brendon didn't get to play for veto. I think he and everyone else in the game should be able to. I just don't understand why they need to sit on the bench. Doesn't make sense to me.
Oh well.

Brendon had the same odds of being in that game as anyone else not HOH, or on the block. Just didn't work out for him this time. I don't think changing it to everyone fighting for it would work... it's all about even odds, I don't see how it could be more fair. People can pull the wrong name out of the bag to... works both ways.
This is why you allign yourself with strong players who can win the HOH and keep nominations the same. Can't blame Big Jeff for not wanting the Veto tho either.

Because when everyone could play for Veto it was almost never used. Anyone aligned with the HoH wouldn't use it, anyone aligned with neither the HoH nor the Nominee's wouldn't use it. The only people that would consistently use it (Marcellous aside) were the nominee's and with everyone competing their odds of winning was too small.
They shortened up the number of folk that could compete to six to increase the likelyhood that it would be used with 2/3's of the competitors being significantly more likely to use it then before. Of course they had to change that once Nakomis introduced backdooring as a tactic... I think the way they do it now is the fairest and most entertaining (good TV) way of doing it.

I guess I never looked at it that way. I was only looking at it from one angle. That makes more sense.
I still don't like it though.

White text .
Jeff needed to win this week. Looks like Danielle's fate will be 99% sealed unless she gets lucky and is picked to play for veto as K&P are not very good at challenges.

I really hope that a floater is taken out with the fast forward this week. Would be a real shame if a real contender is taken out in one night.

For those who monitor the feeds, do the houseguests suspect the double eviction episode is coming up? They know if happens every year, so I'm curious if they have worked out numerous scenarios of how the votes would go if so and so are up on the block.

Most of them think it is a week from tomorrow.

I hate double eviction nights, seems unfair that one goes out so soon, someone like jeff gets sort of screwed here, makes it tough when people have no time to talk to others to gain votes. I would rather just see an extra week rather then the double.

I like the double eviction. It gives you a chance to see what people really think as they don't have as much time to strategize and think things through. The person who gets the short end of the stick is whoever wins HOH though....rather than a whole week of solitude and privacy they get nothing basically.
