I just think they're going to play him to get into the Champion's League.

And yes, £190/wk for Nasri is insane for any team not named Manchester City.

Didn't Torres play Europa League with Liverpool and then play Champs with Chelsea last season?

But Suarez played Champions league with Ajax and was cup tied from playing in the Europa with Liverpool because Ajax dropped down I believe.

Oh, and Wenger has another Ban imposed on him because UEFA thought he was circumventing the last one.

Ya it has to do with your former team playing in the same competition as your current team. So because Liverpool didn't play in Champs, Torres could play. And because Ajax was in Europa, Suarez couldn't play.

What a ridiculous situation. Seems like UEFA is taking the FA's stance of handing out ridiculous penalties to managers of big clubs. Wenger can relate to SAF on this one.

I dont see the point of a touchline ban. But either way, they seem like a ridiculous method of enforcement of....what? What are they enforcing? He got it initially for criticising referees so they dont let him on the pitch? Okay, so who cares if hes phoning the coach to make substitutions? Just keep him away from the officials then.

Unless hes tapping into the referee's little headset and trying to con him into making calls I dont get the point.

Also, 1-0 to Bayern, 3-0 on aggregate and Robben on the bench.

Odense' keeper Wessell is standing on his head against Villareal.

His nickname should be 'Nuclear.'

Villareal left it late against Odense.

Fenerbahce are out of the Champions League because of match fixing scandals in Turkey

group stages are drawn tomorrow

UEFA has less than 24 hours to figure out how they are going to add another team to the group stages

obviously the most fair way would be to take the country with the highest coefficient (England) and add in the team that finished highest which didn't qualify for the CL (Tottenham)

Obviously.....

Hahahahahahaha! Watch Arsenal get knocked out by Udinese and UEFA just shrug and say 'keep them in anyways, we've got a spot....'

Oooohhh, there'd be rioting in Tottenham.....again.....

Random draw of all the teams that lost in the playoffs from over the last two weeks, book for it to be fixed that the loser of Udinese/Arsenal is drawn.
